The entire Divination Commission had descended into chaos.
Fu Xuan had vanished somewhere, and no one had stepped forward to give orders.
Stelle waited where she stood for a while. Suddenly, the phone in her pocket vibrated.
A message had arrived!
Could it be a new commission?
Stelle took out her phone and glanced at it, then froze when she saw the sender.
She looked at Welt and March 7th and said:
"Dan Heng has left the Express too. He just got out of Cloudford's signal-blocking zone, and now he's heading toward the docks."
March 7th said in surprise:
"Dan Heng's finally willing to lend a hand?"
Welt gently adjusted the glasses on his nose. Their lenses glinted as he said calmly:
"Our business at the Divination Commission is finished, so we probably won't stay here much longer. Once the general gives us our next assignment, we can arrange to meet Dan Heng there."
Stelle nodded and said:
"He probably won't be leaving Cloudford that soon anyway. The question is when that general's going to give us an assignment."
Barely had she finished speaking when a soft chuckle came from the distance:
"Since you're all so eager to help, how could I, Jing Yuan, possibly disappoint you?"
Everyone turned toward the voice. Sure enough, the general of the Luofu was slowly approaching with a smile.
Fu Xuan walked beside Jing Yuan, looking rather gloomy.
Clearly, the general had not accepted her proposal.
Quite the opposite: Jing Yuan intended to make extensive use of this wildcard force.
Fu Xuan practically wanted to jump up, grab him by the hair, and yell at him for relying on this wildcard force far too often!
General, you've grown so many white hairs lately. Let me pluck them all out for you!
*Damn it, did
