After saying her piece, Silver Wolf went to the Command Module to find the gun.

When Silver Wolf emerged dragging a heavy machine gun a good bit taller than she was, Arlan's eyes nearly popped out.

She was serious!

He hurriedly tried to stop her:

"You're not really going to fight the undead, are you? They're undead! They can't be killed!"

"How do you know they can't be killed if you've never tried?" Silver Wolf said as she inspected the gun. "This isn't one of your flintlocks loaded with black powder. This is a proper heavy weapon for modern warfare. Anything this gun hits gets shredded on the spot. I'm curious what kind of undead could withstand that firepower."

Arlan opened his mouth, but couldn't refute her.

He turned to Chu Mu and warned him:

"Fighting the undead is far too risky. We have no way of knowing how they'll attack."

"Arlan, you have these concerns because you believe too strongly in the existence of the undead." Chu Mu shook his head. "While I can't be sure whether undead exist in this world, I think it's bizarre that they demand dew. They're soaking in water all day. Do they still need water to drink?"

Chu Mu paused, then asked:

"Do those guys need dew to make eye drops or something?"

"Uh..." Arlan scratched his head. "Who knows, when it comes to the undead?"

An image surfaced in his mind: eyeless undead pouring dew into their empty eye sockets. He didn't quite know what to make of that picture.

At that moment, Kafka, who had remained silent until now, finally spoke:

"If people can become undead after death, possess the same bodies they had in life, and even communicate normally with people and negotiate deals, then that isn't undeath. It's immortality.
