Xianyu immediately checked his status panel.
He was now an Emanator of the Hunt, with an extra skill. Did that count as getting a summon? Could he have it fight for him?
He kept reading. The panel showed that he still had the Mara-Struck debuff equipped, which granted bonuses to the Xianzhou.
He had only lost a small portion of his health bar, and it was now recovering at an extremely slow rate.
Hmm, no big deal.
He tried to sit up. The healer beside him immediately set down the medicine bowl and hurriedly reached out to help.
Xianyu waved away the healer's help. Once he sat up, the healer saw his bandages turning red again and cried out:
"Marshal, please don't move! Your wound has reopened-"
Xianyu's attention was drawn to the pile of documents on the desk nearby.
I take that back. This is a huge deal!
He unconsciously tuned out the voices around him and opened the system map to check each Xianzhou's satisfaction rating. Apart from the Luofu, which had suffered an incident earlier, the numbers were quite good overall.
Looks like my subordinates have been doing a decent job.
Xianyu felt a stinging pain in his chest. Looking down, he saw the burly healer applying medicine with trembling hands and tear-filled eyes.
He offered some reassurance. "Oh, it's no big deal. Don't cry-"
...That only made the healer cry harder.
The Chief Strategist: "..."
Excellent reassurance. Don't do it again.
When someone was crying, "don't cry" was the last thing they needed to hear!
It was like a child who had accidentally fallen. With nobody around, they could dust off their dirty trousers and get up. But once they saw their parents-someone they could safely seek comfort from and cry to-their emotions became even harder
