Background / History
Jing Yuan came from a family that had served the Earth-Balance Commission for generations. Rather than follow his parents’ career path, he joined the Cloud Knights. His ingenuity earned his superior’s favor and helped him stand out among gifted martial prodigies, eventually becoming the Luofu Sword Champion’s disciple 23.
He met Xianyu while attending the Academy. During one encounter, he found Xianyu cornered by bullies and called out for a Cloud Knight, frightening the students away. Although visibly nervous, the young Jing Yuan confidently insisted that he was not afraid of becoming their next target 2 6.
Jing Yuan later realized that Xianyu had deliberately exposed himself to the bullies to protect him. Xianyu used talisman papers to frighten them into changing their behavior, while their parents paid heavily to obtain the talismans.
