Murder first tried firing a few bones at the enormous, malformed thing.

They didn't seem to do much.

The bones struck it with an error sound, then vanished on the spot.

"You can't do it."

"Killer, what did you just say?"

"That wasn't me!"

Murder eyed the cold-sweating Killer suspiciously.

"Everything will come to an end."

"See? It really wasn't me!"

Killer turned Murder's head forward and drew the Real Knife.

"Everything will come to an end."

Numerous large, oddly shaped bones sprouted from the gigantic monster and slammed toward Murder and Killer.

Murder dodged swiftly. Those slow, lazy bones couldn't hit him at all.

"Why are those bones sweating?"

As he dodged, Murder noticed that the bones were dripping wet. They looked utterly revolting.

"Seriously?"

Killer sounded surprised as she asked.

It turned out she hadn't chosen to dodge the attacks. Instead, she stood her ground and blocked them flawlessly with her dagger.

But she couldn't block the mysterious liquid on those bones. It hurtled straight toward Killer's clothes.

"That's so gross!!!"

Killer darted aside just as swiftly, leaving the liquid a step too late to catch her.

Once that round of attacks ended, Sanstrosity seemed to fall briefly silent.

"Murder... do you think we should beat him with a gentler approach?"

Killer flashed over to Murder's side and turned her head to ask him.

"You have a point. I prepared this for situations where we need something to break the stalemate."

Murder pulled a bottle of ketchup from his clothes.

"Hey, you just like that stuff yourself."

"Idiot. Any Sans would like it."

While bickering with Killer, Murder suddenly noticed that Sanstrosity's countless eyes were all fixed on the ketchup, showing a longing that came from deep within his soul.

"Ī wåñt ït. Ī wåñt ït. Ī wåñt ït."

Murder tossed the ketchup toward Sanstrosity. The eye atop Sanstrosity stretched out rapidly, caught the ketchup, and placed it between a dozen or so rows of teeth to chew.

Ketchup spilled out in great quantities, but judging by his reaction, it didn't seem to be enough.

Several blasters flew out of the void, clearly summoned by Sanstrosity.

The strange thing was that the blasters he summoned all had their backs facing the two of them. What threat could they pose like that?

Was he going to hit us with the recoil or something?

Killer wondered.

Murder didn't let his guard down in the slightest. The stranger something was, the more cautiously he needed to approach it.

Sure enough, the blasters fired their energy out of the back!!

Murder grabbed Killer by the collar and teleported into the air.

More reversed blasters aimed at the two of them in midair.

Seeing this, Murder and Killer each extended a hand and summoned an equal number of blasters, blasting the reversed ones straight back.

After that attack ended, Sanstrosity fell silent once more.

"Murder, you really were right."

Killer pointed at Sanstrosity.

"This guy really does like ketchup."

"What, don't you?"

"I prefer ketchup-flavored chocolate."

Without commenting on Killer's bizarre tastes, Murder pulled three bottles of ketchup from his clothes in an instant.

"Murder, just how many bottles of ketchup do you keep in your clothes?"

Killer was a little surprised.

"That's classified."

He tossed the three bottles of ketchup into Sanstrosity's mouth, and Sanstrosity immediately began vibrating at high speed.

Then he stopped.

"Why bother? Why bother? Why bother?"

"Knock, knock, knock, knock, knock."

"Heh heh, finish him. Heh heh, finish him. Heh heh, finish him."

At the very instant Sanstrosity stopped vibrating, Murder felt the pendant against his chest vibrate.

"Resonance?"

Murder took the pendant off his neck and examined it again.

"..."

Murder's hand began moving on its own-a voice within the pendant was actually guiding his actions.

Murder held the pendant high in the air and reached out to touch Sanstrosity's soul.

Crack.

Crack.

Snap.

The gigantic black soul shattered, and a multitude of monster souls poured out.

The souls scattered.

One soul fell.

It was time to reset.

But,

something

had changed.

Had changed.

Had changed.

Had changed.

Had changed.

Had changed.

Had changed.

Had changed.
