From the Castle entrance to the courtyard and on to the Great Hall, everywhere was as lively as if a grand festival were underway. In fact, no one would have objected to calling it a festival: a Hogwarts Champion had taken first place, and that was something to be proud of.
Although Harry had fallen behind, no one thought any less of him for it. Everyone knew where the reason lay: that Karkaroff had openly favored his own school's student and awarded an unreasonable score.
Everyone despised that headmaster from the bottom of their hearts.

During dinner, young wizards kept coming over to the Hufflepuff table to congratulate Su Er. His performance in facing the dragon's breath head-on had left them marveling, and they were also very curious about the Golden Egg on the table.
