Su Er and Moody planned Harry’s secret return to Hogwarts while Su Er disguised himself as Filch to attend the opening feast. Snape became headmaster, and an unknown speaker objected in the Great Hall.

• Su Er told Moody that Harry had to return to Hogwarts for Dumbledore’s plans and asked him to escort Harry through the secret passage from the Shrieking Shack.
• Su Er said he would enter Hogwarts disguised as Filch and coordinate with Professor McGonagall to stage his arrival.
• On the Hogwarts Express, Death Eaters patrolled the silent carriages while Hermione watched the moon rise.
• Su Er, disguised as Filch, brought the first-years to Hogwarts and saw that Harry was missing from the Great Hall.
• Professor McGonagall introduced Snape as headmaster, and a voice from the back of the Great Hall called out, “I object.”

Su Er revealed himself at Hogwarts and helped drive Snape from the headmaster’s office, then explained Dumbledore’s plan to the Order of the Phoenix. The Order prepared for Voldemort’s attack, which Su Er expected to begin the next day.

• Su Er revealed his identity in the Great Hall and challenged Snape’s appointment as Hogwarts headmaster.
• Moody, Harry, the Order of the Phoenix, and many students joined Su Er, while Professor Flitwick and Professor McGonagall pretended to attack Snape and let him escape as gray mist.
• The students cheered Snape’s departure, and Hermione embraced Su Er before Professor McGonagall restored order.
• Su Er told the Order that Dumbledore had arranged Snape’s apparent victory and death so Voldemort would dare attack Hogwarts, and asked them to keep the plan from Harry.
• Su Er warned Sirius not to meet Harry and said Voldemort would likely make his move the next day.

Su Er and the Order of the Phoenix captured Draco Malfoy and six Death Eaters after monitoring the Castle, then prepared Hogwarts for Voldemort’s coming attack. As students demanded a chance to defend their home, Hagrid reported that a large force of Death Eaters had gathered outside the Castle.

• Su Er asked the former Hogwarts headmasters in their portraits to watch the Castle and Draco Malfoy, and they reported that a door had appeared by the tapestry on the seventh floor.
• Su Er asked Hermione to alert Moody, the Order of the Phoenix, and the professors, and they lured Draco Malfoy and six Death Eaters into a trap.
• At dawn, Professor McGonagall told the students that war was coming, suspended classes, and assigned professors, Order members, and centaurs to defend Hogwarts.
• Neville Longbottom, Morn, and Harry argued that the students should help defend Hogwarts, and many others agreed.
• Hagrid rushed into the Great Hall and reported that a large group of Death Eaters had gathered outside the Castle.

Before dawn, Su Er resurrected Dumbledore with the Resurrection Stone, and the two confirmed that events were unfolding as planned. In the Great Hall, Voldemort demanded that Harry be brought to the Forbidden Forest by noon, and Su Er stopped the students from fighting as some Slytherins tried to seize Harry.

• Su Er used the Resurrection Stone at dawn to bring Dumbledore back to life, and they agreed that the next move depended on Harry.
• After Hagrid announced that Voldemort had reached Hogsmeade, Crabbe and Goyle praised the Dark Lord, prompting a confrontation among the students.
• Professor McGonagall warned the students about the danger and offered them the chance to leave, but many chose to stay and defend Hogwarts.
• Voldemort spoke through the Great Hall, gave the school until noon to deliver Harry to the Forbidden Forest, and threatened those who resisted.
• Crabbe and Goyle rallied Slytherins to capture Harry, but Su Er immobilized both sides and challenged the Slytherins to consider whether they all supported that choice.

As Hogwarts prepared for Voldemort’s attack, Su Er helped organize the defense and revealed to Harry that he was Aibo Nokhan, then told Harry to do what he ought to do. Before joining the defenders, Su Er proposed to Hermione, and she accepted.

• Su Er put down the Slytherin rebellion and left Professor McGonagall to persuade students to evacuate and organize the Castle’s defenses.
• Professor Flitwick prepared the Great Hall as a field hospital, Hagrid led the evacuees, and Lisi, Professor Sprout, and students prepared defensive positions and weapons.
• Su Er gave Harry a box from Dumbledore and revealed that he was Aibo Nokhan, while Hermione explained he had been with them all along.
• Su Er told Harry to do what he ought to do, then left the Great Hall with Hermione as dark clouds gathered over Hogsmeade.
• Su Er proposed to Hermione in the Entrance Hall, and Hermione accepted.

Professor McGonagall awakened Hogwarts’ statues and suits of armor as the school’s defenders prepared for Voldemort’s assault. The barrier held against the first attack, but Dementors passed through, and as reinforcements arrived, Su Er spotted Voldemort watching from a hillside.

• Professor McGonagall cast Piertotum Locomotor, sending Hogwarts’ statues and suits of armor to guard the grounds.
• Voldemort warned Hogwarts that resistance would bring death, then his army attacked the protective dome with spells and dark creatures.
• The defenders summoned Patronuses to repel the Dementors while Death Eaters renewed their assault on the dome.
• Cedric Diggory led about twenty former students to Hogwarts, where Professor McGonagall directed them into the battle.
• Su Er saw Voldemort on a hillside outside the Castle, apparently angry as another black-robed figure spoke to him.

Su Er joined the defenders at Hogwarts as Voldemort shattered their magical barrier and sent an Inferi horde into battle. After Su Er’s Fiendfyre-like spell burned through the attackers, he discovered that the apparent Death Eaters were under the Imperius Curse, and Moody ordered the defenders to retreat to the castle before the giants entered the fight.

• Su Er reunited with Cedric and learned that Yumis Molnar and a Ministry vanguard had arrived through the fireplaces, while Amelia stayed behind to organize reinforcements.
• Voldemort shattered the barrier, and Inferi charged the defenders as green spells flickered behind them.
• Moody, Remus, Sirius, and other defenders tried freezing, burning, exploding, and severing the Inferi, but more kept filling their ranks.
• Su Er summoned an enormous icy-blue fiery badger that turned swaths of Inferi to ash and eased the defenders’ pressure.
• Su Er and the others began fighting the wizards behind the Inferi, and he realized the black-robed attackers were being controlled by the Imperius Curse.
• Moody ordered the defenders to retreat to the castle and guard its other entrances before the giants joined the battle.

Su Er helped defend Hogwarts’ western and southern entrances as Voldemort’s forces attacked with Death Eaters, Inferi, and a giant. He and Professor Flitwick evacuated the defenders, then destroyed the covered bridge with the giant still on it.

• Su Er saved Fred from a Killing Curse, and Fred incapacitated the Death Eater with an upgraded Dungbomb.
• Su Er reached Hermione’s sector and used icy blue flames to destroy Inferi attacking the bridge.
• Su Er warned Professor Flitwick that Voldemort had split his forces across the other exits and urged him to destroy the bridge and retreat.
• A giant climbed onto the bridge as Death Eaters attacked; Su Er, Flitwick, and Hermione held up a shield while the defenders evacuated with the wounded.
• After the others withdrew, Su Er, Hermione, and Flitwick retreated to the Castle entrance, where Flitwick blasted apart the bridge, sending the Inferi and giant plunging down.

As Voldemort gave Hogwarts half an hour to surrender Harry Potter, Ministry reinforcements arrived and Su Er caught Harry leaving the Great Hall to face Voldemort alone. Su Er gave Harry a memory to view and explained how to use the Resurrection Stone before Harry continued toward his confrontation.

• Madam Pomfrey treated the wounded as Professor McGonagall told Su Er that the castle had only one entrance left and asked about the Ministry.
• Voldemort announced that his forces had withdrawn to the Forbidden Forest and gave Hogwarts thirty minutes to hand over Harry, threatening those who protected him.
• Su Er saw Harry distressed beside the injured Ron, who had saved Harry’s life.
• Mr. Filch announced the arrival of Amelia Bones and Ministry reinforcements, who had retaken the Ministry and began planning with Professor McGonagall and Alastor Moody.
• Harry slipped out of the Great Hall, and Su Er followed him and urged him to open the wooden box he had given him.
• Su Er told Harry that the box contained a memory and the Resurrection Stone, explaining how to view the memory and use the stone.

Harry learned that he was a Horcrux and left to face Voldemort, who then claimed Harry was dead and brought him before the defenders at Hogwarts. When the crowd refused to surrender, Voldemort blocked their spells and ordered Nagini to kill Neville and then Harry.

• Harry asked Su Er if he was a Horcrux, learned that Dumbledore had kept the truth from him, and left under his Invisibility Cloak.
• Voldemort announced that Harry was dead, and Snape carried Harry's body before the people gathered outside Hogwarts.
• Voldemort demanded that the defenders kneel or die, but Neville stepped forward and defied him.
• The defenders attacked Voldemort, who blocked every spell with a shield cast using the Elder Wand.
• Voldemort ordered Nagini to kill Neville and then eat Harry.

Harry survived Voldemort’s Killing Curse, allowing Snape and Su Er to help Dumbledore reveal and destroy Voldemort’s Horcruxes. Dumbledore captured Voldemort, then entrusted the final act to Harry, who was asked to end the conflict where it began.

• Harry survived Voldemort’s Killing Curse, blasted Nagini, and rescued Neville as the Order and Death Eaters clashed.
• Snape attacked Voldemort, and Su Er killed Nagini with a goblin-forged sword; Fawkes then took Voldemort’s Killing Curse meant for Su Er, and Dumbledore returned.
• Dumbledore reclaimed the Elder Wand while Su Er identified Voldemort’s Horcruxes, including Harry and Ravenclaw’s Diadem.

Su Er and Hermione completed a Muggle church wedding, then celebrated a second ceremony with their friends at Hogwarts. Dumbledore declared them husband and wife as the phoenix sang above them.

• Su Er and Hermione exchanged vows and married in a Muggle church before their families.
• At Hogwarts, Sprout and the students decorated the castle while Harry failed to understand Ginny's hints about wanting a wedding there.
• Dumbledore spoke with the translucent spirit of his sister and reflected that the world now belonged to the young.
• Amelia Bones and members of the Order arrived at Hogwarts for the wedding, and Hagrid welcomed Su Er and Hermione in Hogsmeade.
• Madame Maxime crowned Hermione, and Fred and George showered the couple with petals as they entered the Great Hall.

Years after the war, Su Er saw Angel off to Hogwarts and accompanied Neville Longbottom to take up his new post as Herbology professor. At the Sorting Ceremony, Angel reached the moment of being assigned to a house after asking the Sorting Hat to place her somewhere in particular.

• At King's Cross, Su Er and Hermione saw Angel off, and Angel boarded the Hogwarts Express after hearing conflicting stories about the Sorting Ceremony.
• Su Er took Hermione home, then met Neville and Hannah Longbottom at the Leaky Cauldron and encouraged Neville before they Flooed to Hogwarts.
• At the feast, the Sorting Hat sang about the four houses, while Angel glared at Su Er for misleading her about the ceremony.
• McGonagall began sorting the new students, and the Sorting Hat told Angie Ellison that she could fit into any of the four houses before asking her preference.
