Ch. 443Nidavellir, a sword reborn in fire

John traveled to Nidavellir and asked King Eitri to forge a new sword from the broken Twilight Sword, intending to use it as a power source for his spaceship. Eitri accepted the request in exchange for Muspelheim ore and welcomed John into the dwarves’ workshop.

  • John chose Nidavellir as the place to make a new spaceship power source and followed Dreamwalker’s Star Map there.
  • John reached Nidavellir and met King Eitri, explaining that he came from Earth and wanted a weapon that could supply energy.
  • John gave Eitri the fragments of the Twilight Sword and asked him to use them as the foundation for a new sword rather than repair the old one.
  • Eitri agreed to forge the sword after seeing John’s Muspelheim ore, which the dwarves could not obtain themselves.
  • Eitri hosted a feast for John and listened as he recounted his travels, including his visit to Alfheim.

Ch. 444The Collector, the Magic Compendium

John visited Knowhere after leaving Nidavellir, where Eitri had reforged the Twilight Sword as Dusk and John had memorized the Dwarves’ crafting techniques. At the Collector’s museum, John offered Hvergelmir’s Spring Water and an alchemical music box in exchange for the Magic Compendium, but the deal remained unresolved.

  • Eitri reforged the Twilight Sword with uru, and John named the glowing blade Dusk.
  • John left Nidavellir for Knowhere to visit the Collector.
  • The Collector showed John his private collection of creatures, artifacts, and books.
  • John found the Magic Compendium and asked the Collector to trade it to him.
  • The Collector rejected Hvergelmir’s Spring Water as insufficient, so John presented an alchemical music box.

Ch. 445Something was wrong with Hell, revenge

John used a demon as an offering to find Hell’s coordinates, then arrived there with Paluru and attacked the realm with the Dusk Sword. Hell’s ruler banished John to the mortal world, where he emerged in a forest without Paluru and encountered a large dog and a group of children.

  • The Collector traded John the Magic Book for the music box and Hvergelmir's Spring Water, and John left Knowhere.
  • John studied the Magic Book, used a demonic mosquito and the poisonous river water in a ritual, and found Hell’s coordinates through the Bifrost.
  • John and Paluru arrived in Hell, where John confirmed their destination after a woman insulted him.
  • John drove the Dusk Sword into the floor, unleashing stored Bifrost energy through the building and toward the demons.
  • Beelzebub and Hell’s ruler reacted to John’s attack, and the ruler banished him through the barrier into the mortal world.
  • John emerged in a forest without Paluru and noticed a large dog and children nearby.

Ch. 446The tenth realm, a parallel universe

John encountered Adam, a child whose wishes could shape fate, in a parallel-universe United Kingdom and began arranging a place to stay with Adam and his friends. Meanwhile, a white angel and a black demon sensed that Adam’s meeting with the Hellhound had changed the world’s fate.

  • Adam wished for a clever little dog, and his name for it, Doggy, transformed the enormous Hellhound into a small dog.
  • John recognized Adam as a child of fate and introduced himself to Adam and his friends as Mr. Wick.
  • John offered the children money and snacks in exchange for their help finding him somewhere to stay, then realized he was in a different version of the United Kingdom.
  • John decided the children would need to take him somewhere bigger and showed them a piece of gold.
  • In a bookshop, a white angel and a black demon sensed that Adam’s meeting with the Hellhound had changed the world.

Ch. 447Bookshop, book lover

John explored the unfamiliar world and met Crowley and Aziraphale at an antiquarian bookshop, where he bought a book about the Garden of Eden. He concluded that he was in a parallel universe divided into Hell, the human world, and Heaven, while Crowley had been tasked with finding a wizard.

  • Crowley learned that a wizard had burned down Hell's facilities and that Hell wanted him to find the wizard, whose servant was an unhatched Dragon Egg.
  • John sold gold for money, bought bicycles for Adam and the children, and arranged to meet them the next day.
  • John visited an unlocked bookshop and used magic to retrieve its remote while checking television channels and browsing religious books.
  • Aziraphale and Crowley entered the shop, and John recognized Crowley as someone who looked like Barty.
  • Crowley gave John a book about the Garden of Eden, which John bought for one thousand pounds.
  • After leaving the shop, John sensed that the book carried a strange scent and identified the world as a parallel universe with Heaven, Hell, and the human world.

Ch. 448Angels and demons

Crowley warned Aziraphale that John was dangerous, while John identified the setting as Heaven’s young-created universe and spent time with Adam and the other children. In the woods, a woman following a family Book of Prophecy spotted John while searching for signs of the approaching apocalypse.

  • Crowley told Aziraphale that John was dangerous because he had broken into Hell, destroyed Crowley’s office, and showed no reverence for God; Aziraphale agreed to trust Crowley’s judgment.
  • John concluded that he was in the Heaven Dimension and grew curious about Adam’s role in the coming end of the world.
  • John joined Adam and the other children’s game, refusing to play the witch-burning executioner and arguing against burning people.
  • The children debated whether Mrs. Henderson was a witch, then settled on playing a witch interrogation while Peppa tried to cast John as the witch.
  • A woman searching the woods with a pendulum and her family’s Book of Prophecy spotted John as she investigated the predicted end of the world.

Ch. 449The witch: a meeting across time

John Wick met Anathema Device while she searched for Satan’s son, then discovered Agnes Nutter’s prophecy book could address him across time. After Aziraphale and Crowley brought Anathema home, John appeared in their Bentley and read a prophecy that named him the Wizard King.

  • John Wick met Anathema Device in the woods and pointed her toward Adam and the other children, whom she believed might lead her to Satan’s son.
  • John tested alchemy in the woods, turning stones into gold, then used an Extrasensory Spell to map the area.
  • Anathema rode into Aziraphale and Crowley’s Bentley, and Aziraphale healed her and repaired her bicycle with miracles.
  • Aziraphale and Crowley took Anathema home, where she forgot her Book of Prophecy and blamed the strange events on a head injury.
  • John appeared in the back of the Bentley and read Agnes Nutter’s prophecy, which greeted the Wizard King and described him riding with the angel and demon.

Ch. 450An angel and a demon's bargain, the Son of Satan

John made a bargain with Aziraphale and Crowley to find the child behind the Doomsday War in exchange for direct passage to Heaven and help rescuing Paluru from Hell. He returned to Anathema with her prophecy book and offered to discuss finding the Son of Satan.

  • John revealed that he knew Aziraphale and Crowley were an angel and a demon, then asked them about God and the Doomsday War.
  • John criticized God's treatment of humanity and offered to find the child and prevent the world's destruction.
  • Aziraphale agreed to let John go to Heaven while alive if he stopped the apocalypse, and Crowley reluctantly agreed to help retrieve Paluru from Hell.
  • John left Aziraphale the prophecy book and returned to the village where Adam lived.
  • John entered Anathema's house, identified her missing book, and proposed that they discuss finding the Son of Satan.

Ch. 451Words became law, dreams came true

Anathema met John and sought his help stopping the Doomsday War, but she had no plan for dealing with the Son of Satan. The next day, she befriended Adam without realizing he was the boy she sought, and his awakening powers brought Atlantis to the surface.

  • John visited Anathema, demonstrated his magic, and asked how she planned to stop the Son of Satan, but she had no answer.
  • John returned to the woods and read a prophecy declaring that the world's choice rested in the Wizard King's hands.
  • Anathema broke down over losing her family's prophecy book, and Adam offered to help her find it.
  • Anathema and Adam talked about her aura-reading ability and the strange man in the woods, while Adam's powers continued to awaken.
  • Adam read Anathema's magazines and fell asleep; by Saturday, a cruise ship sailed into Atlantis as it rose above the water.

Ch. 452Guidance, the Wizard King's whispers

John recognized that chaos particles were gathering around Adam, whose fate as Satan’s son was awakening, and took him away to teach him how to use his reality-altering power. Adam sent a signal that began the final battle, but John’s manipulation left him horrified by what he had done to his friends.

  • John visited Adam’s father, learned that he would still love Adam even if Adam destroyed the world, and then went to Anathema to ask how she would deal with Satan’s son.
  • Anathema resolved to stop Adam, but John took Adam and his friends to the Forest Base before she could intervene.
  • John silenced and restrained Adam’s friends, then guided Adam into removing their mouths when Adam found them annoying.
  • Adam’s chaos power surged against John, who redirected the particles into the ground as storms and monstrous creatures appeared around the world.
  • John urged Adam to resent his parents and treat his friends as toys, while Adam insisted that he only wanted to stay in Pigback Woods.
  • Adam sent a signal to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, then restored his friends’ mouths, making them claim they were friends while their false smiles distressed him.

Ch. 453The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Like Playing House

Adam apologized to his friends and, with John’s help, led them to stop the Four Horsemen from starting the Doomsday War. After Adam’s power turned the battle against the Horsemen, Heaven and Hell’s leaders arrived, while John gathered fragments of fate from the defeated War.

  • Adam regretted controlling his friends, apologized, and won them back as John withdrew the power that made his words reality.
  • John gave Adam and his friends flying bicycles and sent them to stop the Four Horsemen, who had been summoned to start the Doomsday War.
  • John investigated Agnes’s prophecy, then joined the children and the doomsday couple at the Air Force Base, where the Horsemen had activated the missiles.
  • Peppa kicked War, took the Flaming Sword, and destroyed the Red Knight as chaos particles revealed Adam’s influence over the battle.
  • John collected fragments of fate from War as the children defeated Pestilence and Famine; Death escaped, and John followed him.
  • Gabriel and Beelzebub came to the human world after Adam’s change made the armies of Heaven and Hell’s planned war futile.

Ch. 454Kidnapping Death, Satan Descends

John imprisoned Death in the Casket of Ancient Winters, stopping people from dying, while Gabriel and Beelzebub pressured Adam to restart the Doomsday War. Satan came to seize Adam, but John intervened as Satan’s hand closed around the group.

  • John froze Death with the Casket of Ancient Winters and imprisoned him, causing people around the world to become unable to die.
  • Gabriel and Beelzebub demanded that Adam begin the Doomsday War, but Adam refused, and Crowley argued that their plan opposed Heaven’s Ineffable Plan.
  • Gabriel and Beelzebub departed, and Satan emerged in the human world to punish Adam for rejecting him.
  • Adam told Satan that he was not his father, and Satan spread Hellfire across the earth before reaching for him.
  • Aziraphale and Crowley fought beside Adam as Satan’s hand engulfed them, and John appeared, prompting Adam to say that brute force only brought loneliness.
  • Golden wings surrounded Adam, Aziraphale, and Crowley as golden flames began burning in Satan’s palm.

Ch. 455Ascension to Heaven, the Creator

John rescued Adam and his friends from Satan, then used Aziraphale and Crowley’s Heaven-summoning formation to transport himself and Satan there. John disappeared as Satan’s arrival sparked a battle between Hell’s ruler and Heaven’s angels, and the Creator finally appeared.

  • John freed Adam’s friends from Satan’s grasp and sent Adam back to them, then borrowed Aziraphale’s Flaming Sword.
  • John blinded and lifted Satan, drowned his Hellfire, protected the nearby people with a Fire-Freezing Charm, and bound his legs before deciding to change venues.
  • Aziraphale redirected the Heaven-summoning formation beneath John, while Crowley expanded it to include Satan, and both were transported to Heaven.
  • John announced Satan’s identity to Heaven’s War Mobilization Officer, prompting the angels to sound the trumpets and attack Satan.
  • John hid with a Disillusionment Charm as Satan fought off the angels, and the Creator appeared amid the battle.

Ch. 456God, defiance

John recognized God as the creator of the world and was sent with Satan to the Garden of Eden, where he rejected the role God had assigned him. After eating from the Tree of Life, John confronted God and declared his own identity as the fire dragon.

  • John concluded that God had created the universe and its laws, and God appeared during the battle between Satan and the angels.
  • God sent John and Satan away, and John woke in the Garden of Eden, where Crowley identified him as Adam.
  • John explored Eden, questioned its plants and animals, and refused Crowley's warning to leave the Tree of Life alone.
  • John ate the fruit of the Tree of Life, rejected the name Adam, and accused God of rewriting lives.
  • John summoned his silver ring and the Flaming Sword, challenged God, and declared, "I am the fire dragon."

Ch. 457The Garden of Eden in Flames, Shattered

John fought God in the burning Garden of Eden, arguing that humanity had created God and that God’s control over fate was only a script. After reforging the Dusk Sword with the Four Horsemen’s power, John shattered God’s defenses, but he saw fate itself begin repairing the ruined Garden.

  • John attacked God with Fiendfyre and chaos magic while accusing God of manipulating humanity and its fate.
  • God confiscated the Flaming Sword, so John drew Dusk and reforged it into the Twilight Sword using the Four Horsemen’s fragments and Death trapped in the Casket of Ancient Winters.
  • John opened a path to Heaven with the Bifrost and struck God’s protective sphere until it cracked.
  • John shattered the sphere and struck down God, whose true form disappeared in the sword’s radiance.
  • John noticed a mysterious force correcting the destruction in the collapsing Garden of Eden and identified it as fate.

Ch. 458Agnes, the final prophecy

John finished the Doomsday crisis, checked on Adam, and returned Aziraphale’s sword while Crowley recovered John’s servant, Paluru, from Hell. He left Earth aboard the Silver Hand 2017 to study calamity and Fate near Alpha Centauri.

  • John left Heaven after God took control of the world’s new script and ordered the angels to stand down from Doomsday preparations.
  • John visited Adam, found that the Chaos Particles were fading from him, and gave him a branch from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
  • John left the Book of Prophecy at Anathema’s house, where Agnes’s words addressed him through its pages.
  • John returned Aziraphale’s book and Flaming Sword to the bookshop, then asked Crowley to retrieve Paluru from Hell.
  • Crowley returned with Paluru, and John said goodbye before releasing ordinary death back into the world and combining the Horsemen’s calamity fragments with the Dusk Sword and Fate.
  • John transformed the Silver Hand 2017 into a spaceship and set course for Alpha Centauri to study calamity and Fate.

Ch. 459The power of calamity, the power of fate

John smelted the Four Horsemen’s fragments into the power of calamity, purified the Dusk Sword, and sealed the power of Fate in the Casket of Ancient Winters. After spending half a month on Alpha Centauri, he restarted his spaceship and discovered that the Dragon Egg was about to hatch.

  • John used Soul, Return to remove the Death and Pestilence fragments from the Dusk Sword and smelted the Horsemen’s fragments into the power of calamity.
  • John burned away the Dusk Sword’s ominous aura and sealed Fate inside the Casket of Ancient Winters.
  • John explored Alpha Centauri and considered that life on the planet might eventually evolve into intelligent beings and produce a new God.
  • John purified Silver Hand 2017, found no trace of a curse, and restarted the spaceship while Paluru tended to the Dragon Egg.
  • John heard cracking sounds and saw two fine cracks appear in the Dragon Egg’s shell.

Ch. 460Hatching, the Starry Sky Dragon

John saved the Dragon Egg from the mixed energies it absorbed during the Bifrost journey, and it hatched into a rapidly growing Starry Sky Dragon named Aurelion. After finding Fate and beginning the trip home, John encountered a wrecked fleet and a group of apparent rescuers who were stripping the ships for resources.

  • The Bifrost poured spatial energy, Chaos Magic, and star power into the Dragon Egg, so John used a Blue Flame Gem and a potion to neutralize the dangerous forces inside it.
  • The Dragon Egg hatched under John's watch, and he named the dark-gold-and-purple hatchling Aurelion, the Starry Sky Dragon.
  • During Aurelion's first week, it grew quickly, showed unusual intelligence, ate Magic Crystals and a meteorite, and became Paluru's cherished charge.
  • After finding Fate, John programmed the spaceship to return home, but it came upon wrecked ships and bodies floating in space.
  • John discovered that the supposed rescuers were collecting resources from the wrecks, and he noticed a humanlike figure and a raccoon aboard their approaching spaceship.

Ch. 461The Guardians, Star-Lord

John met the Guardians of the Galaxy while investigating a distress signal and learned that Gamora was carrying a secret involving Thanos. He offered to help her, leaving the Guardians to consider what she had kept hidden.

  • The Guardians of the Galaxy arrived at the distress signal, where Star-Lord questioned John about the dead ship and recorded information about the incident.
  • John recognized Groot as a Flora Colossus and teased the Guardians by offering to buy part of him, angering Rocket and making Groot wary.
  • John asked Star-Lord about Starhawk and discovered he was from Earth, while Gamora questioned John about his magic.
  • Gamora recalled Thanos destroying her home and killing her parents, then admitted that telling Star-Lord would put him in danger.
  • John snapped his fingers to interrupt Star-Lord and Gamora's private conversation, and the Guardians realized they had all been watching them.

Ch. 462Thanos's adopted daughter, Gamora

Gamora sought a way to keep Thanos from learning her secret, and John used magic to take custody of it. After the Guardians left, John set course for Xandar to pursue the Power Stone.

  • John brewed a Forgetfulness Potion, but after learning Gamora was Thanos's daughter, he warned it would not reliably protect her secret and offered three magical alternatives.
  • Gamora chose the Unbreakable Vow rather than make Star-Lord bear her secret, but John offered to keep it himself.
  • John gave Gamora a jar containing her secret, and she thanked him before leaving with the Guardians.
  • Paluru asked Star-Lord to return Aurelion's food bowl, while Gamora laughed at John's prank.
  • John used what he had learned from Gamora to plot a course to Xandar and began a jump through the universe.
