"Stop fighting! Both of you, stop fighting!"

After saying that, Yang Bo instinctively looked up at the sky, afraid it might start raining.

Blade stopped what he was doing at his words, and Yang Bo continued, "He's very important to me. I need to kill him myself. You should know why!"

"All right!"

Blade hesitated for only two seconds before readily agreeing. He knew that without Yang Bo, never mind turning the tables on these vampires-he wouldn't even have been able to protect Whistler.

He wasn't the sort of man who forgot a debt of gratitude.

He gave Frost, who could no longer speak, an icy look, then casually tossed him onto the ground. Turning to Yang Bo, he said, "I just hope he doesn't get an easy death!"

"Uh..."

Blade's request posed quite a problem for Yang Bo. If he had a Brewing Stand right now, he could make some healing potions, and he was confident he could make it impossible for this guy to die even if he wanted to. But he was completely broke. Forget healing potions-he didn't even have a gold ingot.

Looking at the slowly recovering health bar above Frost's head, Yang Bo sighed. "Let's go. We'll talk once we're back!"

He picked Frost up off the ground and carried him toward the car, opened the door, and tossed him into the back seat. Then he climbed in as well, took out an Iron Sword, and watched Frost's health bar. Whenever it recovered to 20%, he stabbed him a few times to bring it back down to 10%.

Back at Blade's base, Yang Bo tossed Frost to Blade and said, "Hang him up for now!"

Throughout the drive, Blade had watched Yang Bo periodically stab Frost with a longsword made of blocks, as though venting his anger.

The strange thing was that he had no idea how Yang Bo did it. That thick, long blade left absolutely no wound when he plunged it in. If Frost's unconscious body hadn't twitched from the pain, he would have thought the sword in Yang Bo's hand was an illusion.

Now he suddenly felt as though he had awakened some terrifying interest in Yang Bo.

"Um... Yang Bo, suddenly I don't think I hate him all that much anymore. Why don't you just kill him?"

Enjoying killing vampires and enjoying torture were two different things.

Yang Bo was holding a Pickaxe, about to free the two people enclosed within the iron blocks. Hearing Blade's words, he said calmly, "Your mother isn't dead. She's still at his house, and she's become exactly like him. Anything else you'd like to say?"

As mentioned before, once someone became a vampire, if they couldn't resist that bloodthirsty craving, they would eventually become a monster, their thoughts completely assimilated.

Blade froze, digesting what Yang Bo had told him, his eyes filled with confusion. A series of clanging sounds interrupted his thoughts. Seeing Whistler and Karen emerge from the white room, his expression turned grim, and he said directly to Yang Bo, "Yang Bo, could you lend me that longsword of yours?"

The instant he finished speaking, an Iron Sword spun through the air and embedded itself beside him. Yang Bo didn't even stop dismantling the iron blocks. He merely said calmly, "Sure. Seven stabs at most. The eighth will definitely kill him. I need to run a little experiment on him later!"

Thud!

Before Yang Bo had even finished speaking, Blade picked up the Iron Sword and plunged it into Frost's body.

Looking at Frost hanging in the air, Karen frowned slightly and asked in confusion, "Who is he?"

Before Yang Bo could introduce him, Whistler said quietly from beside her, "Deacon Frost is one of the higher-ups among New York's vampires!"

He didn't yet know that Deacon Frost had already become the sole leader of New York's vampires, placing all the other vampire elders under house arrest to serve as sacrifices for this summoning of the Blood God. Whistler paused, then continued, "After all these years of investigation, we also found that he's the one who murdered Blade's mother!"

Karen, who had initially thought Blade was being rather cruel, immediately felt there was nothing wrong with what he was doing. But seeing the hint of pain on his face, she didn't need to guess to know he was thinking of his mother. She stepped forward, gently took his arm, and said softly, "Erik, stop for now!"

"He's unconscious now. Let me find a way to wake him up first, then you can get back to it..."

Hearing Karen's words, Yang Bo couldn't help marveling. "I've seen plenty of bleeding hearts, but this is my first time meeting a devil in the flesh!"

A hint of admiration entered his gaze as he looked at Karen. Women who knew right from wrong, acted decisively, were highly capable, and had alluring figures were far too rare. With most women, simply not making a fuss about how cruel this was would already count as being sensible.

Before long, Yang Bo had put all the iron blocks he had placed earlier into his inventory. As the man behind Blade, Whistler was naturally a researcher too. His curiosity about Yang Bo was now off the charts. He came over and asked, "I did a little examining while I was inside, and I found that the room you built seemed to be made of high-strength iron..."

"But with all that weight, why didn't the ceiling collapse? The pieces weren't one solid structure, and there weren't any supports!"

"Is this a special ability of yours? Are you a wizard?"

The barrage of questions made Yang Bo's head ache. He shrugged helplessly and said with a wry smile, "Just think of me as a wizard!"

He reached out and patted Whistler's shoulder, saying with particular seriousness, "Trust me, don't think too hard about anything to do with me. It'll be better for you!"

With that, he took out his cigarettes and offered Whistler one, then felt around in his pocket for a lighter and lit both their cigarettes.

Taking a deep drag, he walked toward Frost. Blade had already stabbed the man several times. Though he was still furious, he had stopped because he remembered Yang Bo's instructions. If he actually stabbed Frost to death, not only would he have no way to explain it to Yang Bo, he wouldn't even be able to justify it to himself.

Yang Bo glanced at Blade and said, "Don't worry. Leave him to me. I'll make sure his death is worth something!"

The health bar above Frost's head was recovering more and more slowly, possibly because the special energy in his body was running low. Yang Bo took a [Human Heart] out of his inventory, forced Frost's mouth open, and stuffed it inside.

After he ate the heart, Frost's health began recovering at an absurd rate. The injuries Blade had inflicted on his body healed visibly before their eyes.

In just a dozen seconds or so, the health bar above his head recovered to eighty percent, but Frost still kept his eyes tightly shut.

"Heh, pretending to be unconscious, are you?"

Yang Bo didn't believe for a second that Frost could still be unconscious with eighty percent health. He blew a thick cloud of smoke at him and said with a smile, "Enjoy this delightful pain!"
