A halo of light appeared before him. It looked fragile, yet it dissipated every ounce of Skye's power.
Coulson gripped his custom pistol tightly, fine beads of sweat forming on his forehead as his mind raced.
They had come here following leads on the "Clairvoyant." Who could have expected a wizard to appear out of nowhere and attack them?
Skye gritted her teeth and poured more power into her attack. The shockwaves became almost tangible, and cracks began spreading across the surrounding walls.
The wizard seemed to grow impatient and flicked his wand.
