Voldemort raised a hand and stroked his smooth head, savoring his newborn body as he let out a satisfied laugh.
"My master!" Bellatrix trembled with excitement and prostrated herself on the ground.
Voldemort ignored her and slowly walked toward Harry.
"Harry Potter," he hissed, "you must be surprised. The Triwizard Tournament, from beginning to end, was carefully arranged for you by me. That cup was a Portkey I prepared especially for you."
"That damned Anti-Apparition Jinx at Hogwarts... only by exploiting the Goblet of Fire's own magical properties could I create a special Portkey like this and deliver you safely into my presence."
Voldemort reached Harry and seized him by the throat.
"Now, tell me, Harry Potter, do you have any last-"
Before he could finish, a force instantly enveloped both him and Harry.
The next second, Voldemort and Harry vanished together, leaving Bellatrix alone to lift her head in bewilderment and stare blankly at the now-empty graveyard.
Hogwarts.
Harry had disappeared along with the Goblet of Fire, leaving only dead silence behind.
The spectators, who had been caught up in the tension of the competition just a second earlier, froze. Their cheers caught in their throats, giving way to shock and confusion.
"Where's Harry?"
"The Goblet of Fire took him away!" someone in the crowd cried.
The Goblet of Fire had been tampered with, and Harry had been forcibly transported away. A sense of foreboding settled over everyone.
Dumbledore was about to act and try to trace the Portkey's destination when a cool, clear voice rang out.
"There's no need, Headmaster Dumbledore."
Everyone turned toward the voice. At some point, Hermione had descended from above the maze and was now standing at the edge of the raised platform, her expression calm, as though she had anticipated everything.
"Hermione?"
