"A Prophecy Orb? About whom?"
"About Harry," Draca explained. "But the real target was you."
"The Dark Lord thought Trelawney's prophecy about Harry was complete bullshit. He believed the Witch was his true nemesis, and that there had to be an unfinished second half to the prophecy. So he wanted the complete prophecy crystal ball to look for your weakness."
Hmm, that does sound familiar... Hermione thought.
She barely remembered the plot of the Order of the Phoenix. Throughout the whole thing, she hadn't understood what either side was actually doing. All she remembered was Voldemort making a huge fuss and seemingly accomplishing nothing.
After all, the previous installments had all been named after a key object or person. Only the Order of the Phoenix hadn't.
If it had been called Harry Potter and the Prophecy Orb, she definitely would have remembered.
At that thought, Hermione couldn't help rolling her eyes.
Noseless really was persistent. He'd died so many times without learning his lesson, and still insisted on picking a fight with her.
But this time, he'd pinned his hopes on the wrong thing. The prophecy about the Chosen One really had absolutely nothing to do with her. He might have had better luck looking for her in a prophecy about the end of the world.
"And then?" Hermione asked.
"Headmaster Dumbledore's Order of the Phoenix got wind of it beforehand and moved to stop them. Both sides fought a huge battle in the Department of Mysteries." Draca took a deep breath. "In the end, the Dark Lord and Dumbledore both personally joined the fight. They faced off, and Dumbledore drove him back."
"Then what does Fudge have left to stir up trouble over? Voldemort attacked his own headquarters. Shouldn't he be scrambling to cling to Dumbledore?" Hermione asked, baffled.
