Aboard the helicopter, Thaddeus Ross, Betty, and the others stared in disbelief, unable to trust their own eyes.
Hulk and Abomination, those two ferocious beasts, had easily demolished half a city block and wiped out the military forces. Yet a little girl had knocked monsters like those flat in just a few moves?
And what were that shattered space and all those colored lights?
A wizard's magic?
How had things suddenly turned into a fantasy?
Was this still the world they knew?
For the first time, Thaddeus Ross felt that the military's Super-Soldier Program could be shut down.
The two most powerful Super-Soldiers in history had been pinned down and beaten by a little girl with a wooden stick. What was the point of continuing?
The moment the helicopter landed, Betty rushed out.
"Bruce!"
She helped Banner up, only for him to vomit a slug onto her.
Betty: "..."
Looking at Banner's deathly pale face and near-collapsed state, Betty could only turn to Hermione for help.
"Don't worry. He'll be fine after throwing up for a while. It won't kill him."
Hermione folded her arms and leaned against her broomstick, grinning.
She was clearly an adorable little girl, yet to everyone watching, that smile was as terrifying as a little devil's.
Gathering his thoughts, General Ross stepped forward and said:
"Young... lady, thank you for your assistance. The military will now take these two wanted criminals back..."
"Hey!" Hermione interrupted him outright. "No can do. These two are part of my deal with Black Egghead. You can't have them."
Black Egghead?
Thaddeus Ross froze for a moment, then immediately realized whom she meant.
His expression hardened. "Absolutely not. This is a military experimental project. We cannot hand them over to outsiders!"
"I don't care. You're not getting them!"
Hermione turned
