Working alone was far too inefficient. Only by harnessing the power of Stark Industries and S.H.I.E.L.D. and putting everyone to work could she gather as many materials from the Marvel Universe as possible.
"African Tree Snake skin strips, Fluxweed, Sunlight Orchid, moonstone..."
Hermione counted off the usable materials, loading box after box into her bottomless backpack.
Nick Fury watched with an aching heart, but there was nothing he could do.
"Is that all?"
Hermione looked at Nick Fury and asked.
"That's right. This is the absolute best S.H.I.E.L.D. has been able to manage over the past few days."
After staring at him for a moment, Hermione nodded.
"All right. If you find any more, remember to call me. I'll identify them for you free of charge."
She knew these certainly weren't all the materials S.H.I.E.L.D. had acquired, but she couldn't be bothered to expose him. A steady stream of profits was the way to go.
Besides, even if they kept these things, they wouldn't figure them out. In the end, they would still have to come begging to her.

Hearing Hermione's words and looking at the scant few boxes left, Fury's face darkened.
"What are these?"
Fury asked tentatively, looking at the remaining materials.
"Oh, those are trash. You can dispose of them."

Fury wasn't surprised in the slightest.

Luckily, he'd had the foresight to secretly hold a little back. They didn't know what it was good for yet, but with their scientists researching day and night, surely they would discover something.
