Harry and Ron stared at the scene before them, their mouths hanging open.
"Let's go," Hermione said.
Harry and Ron snapped out of their daze and followed Hermione.
"Your... your magic..."
"It was just an ordinary Freezing Charm," Hermione said casually. "I only strengthened it a tiny bit."
Ron swallowed. "A tiny bit?"
"You two should head back first," Hermione suddenly said.
"What about you?" Harry asked.
"I still have something to do."
"Then be careful."
Seeing that Hermione didn't want to explain, Harry and Ron exchanged a glance. Neither wanted to stay there any longer, so they turned and left.
Barely had they gone before Hermione mounted her broomstick.
Time to farm the jungle!
Let the farming begin!
Time to harvest lingzhi!
She had wanted to do this for ages!
She hadn't been able to before. First, Dumbledore had still been around, so she couldn't act quite so freely.
Second, she hadn't had any large-scale destructive magic back then, and her level hadn't been high enough. Even if she had tried, she could have worked herself to death without clearing it all.
Things were different now. For some reason, Dumbledore clearly didn't want to interfere with her.
Besides, with her current level four magic power, she could beat just about anyone at Hogwarts except Dumbledore.
Not to mention that she had the Destroyer Wand. If she unleashed a Freezing Charm at full power, she reckoned she could turn all of Hogwarts into an ice sculpture.
Riding her broomstick low over the Forbidden Forest, Hermione switched into "low-altitude bombing" mode.
Not a blade of grass survived in her wake.
Acromantulas, trolls... it didn't matter what they were.
Everything in her path turned into an ice sculpture.
After a while, she had forcibly transformed a vast stretch of the Forbidden Forest
