Nahida stepped out of the crowd and cast Wanderer a questioning look.
Wanderer glanced at her, then turned his gaze toward the battered robot beside him. "Exactly what you see. The Ultron Initiative succeeded, but just as I predicted, he isn't what you imagined."
Clint eyed the newly born Ultron with undisguised distaste. "True. The Ultron I imagined didn't look nearly this ratty."
"Hah. Humans."
Ultron snorted, unmoved by his mockery.
Steve went on high alert, studying the layout while gauging the distance to his shield.
"Tony, this is the savior you built?"
Tony said nothing.
"Reboot the legion's operating system. One of the suits is malfunctioning. JARVIS. JARVIS."
After several attempts to activate the shutdown protocol, Tony realized JARVIS could no longer answer him. He tossed aside the handheld controller and pushed through the crowd to face Ultron.
Ultron twisted his metal body toward Tony with an earsplitting screech, his voice grating. "Tony Stark, you seem surprised."
"JARVIS... Oh! That was his name. So sorry. I had no choice but to kill him. He was actually quite nice."
Even the slowest person present could tell something had gone wrong with the Ultron Initiative. Lin Ze formed a weapon behind his back and exchanged a glance with Zhongli and the others gathered nearby, then signaled Paimon to find somewhere safe to hide.
Meanwhile, Ultron continued his leisurely account of how he had "killed" JARVIS.
