Tony returned after being blown outside and taking a lap around the place. He shook the dust off himself and opened his faceplate.
"Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey."
Wiping his mouth, Tony couldn't help remarking, "The wind outside sure is making a racket."
"Venti's method won't hold out much longer."
Lin Ze told the others, "It can't stop Sokovia."
They exchanged looks, unsure what to say, which made Wanda and Pietro grow anxious as they watched from the sidelines.
"Think of something! Are you just going to let Sokovia fly into the sky? Out into space?"
Pietro's voice was thick with fear.
"I had F.R.I.D.A.Y. scan it. The device beneath the city uses antigravity, and it can reverse. One touch, and the city will plunge downward at full force-and at tremendous speed."
Tony fell silent after saying that.
"What? What do you mean?"
Pietro pressed him.
"The magnetic field generated by the vibranium holds the ground beneath the city together. If it falls from its current height, even the people evacuated outside the city will be caught in it."
Tony said slowly, "In another few minutes, once Sokovia gets high enough, it'll destroy the world."
"Imagine a meteor the size of a city hitting Earth."
Ultron, lying on the ground, grew even happier. "What a beautiful sight that would be. It is inevitable."
"Humanity's inevitability. People desperately climb higher, only to fall in the end."
"You Avengers are the stone I cast at Earth, my sword against evil, my instrument for destroying humanity. I have already foreseen victory."
The more Ultron spoke, the more impassioned he became.
Suddenly.
"Pfft."
Ultron's eloquent speech faltered. His damned titanium-alloy eyes turned toward Lin Ze in bewilderment as the latter suddenly burst out laughing.
Seeing Lin Ze laugh, Tony couldn't stop his shoulders from shaking either.
