Tim greeted Clark, while Jason merely glanced at the newcomer without saying a word.
Damian sat beside Miaomiao, looking distinctly displeased.
"Hah, so now you show up. Where were you when Father needed you? You disappear every time something big happens. What kind of behavior is that?"
Damian's resentful voice wasn't particularly loud, but the gentleman clearly had excellent hearing. He immediately realized something was wrong, and concern flashed through his beautiful blue eyes. "What happened? Did Bruce run into trouble?"
When he returned, he had listened to Bruce's heartbeat and found nothing unusual. If anything, Bruce seemed healthier?
"Hmph, wait for you? The patients at Arkham Asylum would all have been discharged by then!"
"Master Damian, please mind your manners." Alfred curbed the prickly child's temper, then explained to Clark with a smile, "There was a minor problem earlier, but everything is fine now. In fact, it may well have been a good thing for Master Bruce."
"Oh?" Clark grew even more interested. "I only went away on a work trip, and it seems I missed quite a lot."
