"All of it is for pain relief?"
Miaomiao drew in a sharp breath.
The scales of the Merfolk were the best defense they had. Unless they were still young or faced an extraordinarily lethal weapon, they were almost impossible to injure.
Miaomiao had no idea how much that must hurt, but she thought Daredevil was probably like Bruce-not someone afraid of pain. What kind of agony would drive someone like that to stockpile painkillers by the box and cabinetful?
Right then, Miaomiao desperately hoped something happy would happen so she could shed a few little pearls, then pin these nocturnal vigilantes who never took care of themselves in a bathtub and give them a proper pearl bath.
Meanwhile, having just dealt with a few thugs who had been terrorizing the locals, Daredevil, Matt Murdock, was also considering what to do with the two people in his Safehouse.
Calling the police clearly wouldn't work, but his Safehouse wasn't a long-term solution either. If what the girl said was true... No, how could it be?
...But... there was clearly something unusual about the girl's constitution. And then there was that man named "Bucky," who looked as though he had fought his way through mountains of corpses and seas of blood...
Or... perhaps contacting the Avengers really was an option? As someone whose day job was being a lawyer, perhaps he could send that flamboyant Mr. Stark an email as "Matt Murdock"?
But Tony Stark was a man who did whatever he pleased, a second-generation tech magnate born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Ever since he had openly admitted at a press conference that he was Iron Man, countless emails flooded his inbox every day. Would he really notice an unsolicited message from some unknown lawyer in the Clinton District?
