Ririko thought she was probably right.
She slapped Pamela's wandering hand away. "Are you enjoying my misery? Even if you bury me, you won't get a single nutrient out of me. I'm full of poison."
Pamela wore a suggestive smile.
"You know, my power has grown quite a bit on this land. I'm not afraid of your poison anymore."
Poison Ivy raised her palm to her lips and gently blew toward Ririko's face.
The fragrance was stronger than before, a blend of honey and pollen with a sweetness almost dizzying in its intensity.
Before Ririko could dodge, the floral scent reached her face, and she inhaled half a breath of it.
"Cough, cough..."
Ririko hadn't expected her to pull something like that so suddenly.
She felt heat spread outward from her chest, climbing along her collarbones to the sides of her neck, sliding down her shoulder blades and back, then roaming between her skin and clothes.
Her breathing grew heavier. Fine beads of sweat formed at her temples, and a few loose strands of hair stuck to her temples and cheekbones.
She braced herself against the tree behind her and straightened, her sultry gaze settling on Pamela. "You poisonous woman... what are you trying to do?"
Pamela stepped forward and drew Ririko into her embrace, wrapping an arm around her back and pressing her palm against skin warmed by her rising body heat.
"If you want my help, you ought to offer something in return."
Ririko felt how cool Pamela's skin was, just what she needed to cool down.
She quickly pressed herself against Poison Ivy, suppressing the heat, but it soon rose again.
She began unbuttoning her jacket. She didn't really want to do this out in the open, but her body was no longer obeying her.
