Ririko tried to escape a jewelry-store robbery with stolen pearls, but the cheapskate she left behind drew the robbers after them. She fled into Crime Alley and was shot before the Waynes’ murder and Bruce Wayne’s transformation into Fruit Bat Man.
Ririko woke restrained in Arkham after surviving a gunshot wound and learned that Hugo Strange had treated her. A new system activated, giving her a way to influence core characters, and she began planning to use it to get close to Bruce Wayne.
Ririko tried to win over Hugo Strange by flirting with him, but Jerome’s screams from outside interrupted their encounter. A young woman entered to report that the test subject in Isolation Room Three had broken through two control mechanisms, and the system identified her as Harley Quinn.
After Ririko was moved to Arkham's isolation ward, she tried to hold on to her ambitions while adjusting to its meager comforts. Hugo and Harley argued over the dangers of the Tomie tissue experiment, and Ririko woke to guards bringing someone toward her room.
Ririko learned that Jerome Valeska had been placed in the room next to hers at Arkham and discovered that his Infatuation Value was rising while they were near each other. After a guard told her Dr. Quinzel would visit instead of Dr. Strange, she worried that she would not be able to see Hugo or advance her plans.
Ririko underwent a medical examination by Harley Quinn at Arkham and tried to increase Harley’s infatuation while steering her away from Jerome Valeska. Harley left after agreeing to provide basic toiletries, and Ririko watched the room’s camera with a defiant smile.
Ririko used her appeal to provoke the guard captain while Hugo Strange watched, hoping to draw his attention and influence her chances of escaping Arkham. Hugo intervened when the captain propositioned her, and Ririko greeted him as he finally appeared before her.
Ririko manipulated Hugo Strange into letting her stay near him by offering to become his assistant, while learning that Thomas Wayne planned to visit Arkham. The chapter ended with her waiting for Hugo’s answer to her proposal.
Ririko tried to persuade Hugo Strange to keep her close, but he used a sedative on himself to suppress his feelings and sent her to the Female Isolation Ward. Alone in her new room, she discovered that her skin had become extraordinarily beautiful and decided she could still attract Thomas Wayne.
Ririko discovered that Herman was withholding her preferred meals and that Herman was extremely jealous of her, while Harley was prevented from visiting. During recreation time, Ririko befriended Jerome Valeska and arranged for him to bring her a burger the next day.
Ririko continued manipulating Jerome’s growing infatuation while plotting to frustrate Herman’s jealousy, as Hugo kept Harley away from her and planned a new experiment phase. Jerome later surprised Ririko with a Clown Doll instead of the hamburger she expected, then offered her a second, larger paper bag.
Ririko used Jerome’s attention to provoke Herman, then confronted Herman after she was shoved and insulted. Herman threatened to withhold food, and Ririko warned the surveillance camera that her death would end the experiment.
Ririko was brought to Hugo Strange’s private room for an experiment meant to measure the unusual attraction he felt around her. She began using the hour-long test to raise his infatuation value, leaving Hugo agreeing that she could do anything she wanted.
Ririko teased Hugo in his private room, secured silk pajamas and a cream cake, and tried to learn what would happen to Jerome. The chapter left Hugo visibly infatuated with her after he tasted cream from her finger.
Ririko used cake and flirtation to sedate Hugo, then secretly took nutritional supplements after he stopped her meals. Herman discovered Hugo had been taking Ririko to a hidden room at night, and Ririko later returned there and asked him to cooperate with an experiment without using sedatives.
Harley Quinn rushed to Hugo's lounge after Herman told her Ririko was with him, but found Ririko calmly eating dinner with Hugo. Hugo summoned Herman to the Warden's office and charged her with misconduct, leaving Herman to realize Ririko had Hugo's support.
Ririko gained permission to work in Arkham’s experimental section after Hugo punished Herman, then used her new access to investigate the cells. She found Herman locked in E Block and pretended to have come to collect a replacement test subject.
After discovering grotesque test subjects with the same black hair as hers, Ririko saw that her missing left eye had grown back and realized she could no longer stay in Arkham. She found a hidden code inside Jerome’s Clown Doll that might help her escape.
Ririko tried to draw Hugo Strange away from her room while learning that he would soon be busy, possibly because Thomas Wayne was coming to Arkham. She lured Hugo into the bathroom and guided his increasingly passionate attention as his infatuation with her rose.
Ririko discovered that Hugo’s infatuation could eventually make him kill her, escaped her locked dorm room, and waited for Thomas Wayne’s visit. When Thomas and Bruce arrived at Arkham, Ririko appeared before Bruce and greeted him.
Ririko escaped Arkham by jumping from a cliff to avoid Harley, who planned to stop the Tomie Organization experiment. Oswald and Butch found her on their car and took her to the Iceberg Lounge, leaving her fate uncertain.
Ririko, whom Butch had mistakenly buried, resurfaced in Oswald's private bathroom at the Iceberg Lounge and tried to get close to the Penguin. The chapter ended with Oswald stopping her from leaving to protect his reputation.
Oswald forced Ririko to work at the Iceberg Lounge to repay a debt she did not owe, and Butch confined her to a cramped staff room with a tracking bracelet. Ririko decided to use her Mental Corruption System to manipulate Oswald into giving her money and build a new identity that could bring her closer to Bruce Wayne.
Ririko made generous tips by charming customers at the Iceberg Lounge, then irritated Oswald by ignoring his rules and teasing him. Oswald stopped her from returning to work, determined to assert his authority.
Ririko moved to the Iceberg Lounge’s second-floor VIP Room and received her Clown Doll back from Butch. When she encountered Jerome again, he claimed not to know her and burned the doll, leaving Ririko to walk away while he smiled cryptically.
