Following Danyla's instructions, Master Ohn hurriedly had his apprentices throw the white, jade-like Sea Dragon bones into the furnace.
Danyla chanted spells while directing Dreamfyre and the other four Great Dragons to breathe dragonfire into the furnace. Since this batch of steel had already undergone the blood sacrifice ritual, there was no need to perform it again. Under the scorching dragonfire, the Sea Dragon bones and steel soon fused together.
To make absolutely certain the method worked, Danyla handed Master Ohn the incomplete suit of Valyria Armor she had confiscated from Sevan and asked him to restore it first.
Fortunately, Master Ohn succeeded on his first attempt. In just one day, he restored it to a complete suit of Valyria Armor.
To highlight the precious nature of the Valyrian steel armor, Danyla specially brought a number of Magic Gems from Holy Flame Island. A fist-sized red Magic Gem was set into the breastplate of the restored suit, right over the heart.
Danyla named this newly restored suit of Valyrian steel armor "Black Flame," making it a matching counterpart to House Targaryen's sword, Blackfyre.
When Danyla brought Black Flame back to the Red Keep and presented it to King Jaehaerys, the old man was so excited that he stayed awake for half the night, gently running his hands over it as though he had found a priceless treasure.
"Dany, you always manage to surprise me in new ways! Tell me, how would you like me to reward you?"
Danyla gently shook the old man's arm and coaxed him.
"How about granting me Oldtown and Sunhouse Castle?"
