Seeing Daemon and Quicksilver return unharmed, Viserys and the others finally relaxed. Viserys let out a deep sigh of relief and said,
"Thank the Seven!"
But at the sight of the chunks of dragon carcass Quicksilver carried, Princess Rhaenys knitted her brows and sighed.
"Only when you take part in one yourself do you understand how terrifying and bloody a battle between Great Dragons can be!"
"Where is Danyla? Daemon, why didn't Danyla come back with you?"
Quicksilver had barely landed before Viserys pressed him for an answer.
His older brother's mention of Danyla left Daemon feeling awkward. He could only offer a rather strained excuse.
"She... she had something to attend to and left."
Daemon's behavior made Viserys anxious again. Unless something had happened, Daemon would never have acted this way.
"Tell me the truth right now. Was Danyla hurt?"
"No, brother! She's perfectly fine. Can't you see that this red dragon has already been torn apart?"
"She really did have something to attend to."
Seeing that Daemon did not seem to be lying this time, Viserys felt somewhat reassured.
Meanwhile, the moment Myracis and Antheros saw the chunks of dragon carcass Krakshoo dropped, they pounced on them. Startled, Quicksilver hurriedly took a defensive stance, stretching out his thick neck and roaring furiously at the two Great Dragons.
"Eee~ gaa~"
"Quicksilver!"
Seeing this, Daemon immediately ordered Quicksilver away from the red dragon's remains.
With Quicksilver no longer blocking them, Myracis and Antheros eagerly breathed dragonfire, ready to feast on the dragon's flesh.
Their behavior made both Princess Rhaenys and Viserys frown.
"There are still several pieces of the dragon's carcass in the Mountains of the Moon. Let's ride our dragons over and bring them back! It seems eating dragon flesh helps Great Dragons recover from their injuries more quickly."
