Meanwhile, the male wyvern made another move. He swung his enormous body hard, sweeping his massive tail, dozens of meters long, toward Myracis like a thick pillar.
Myracis reacted instantly, climbing sharply to evade the blow. The air currents stirred up by their battle even sent several smaller wyverns approaching nearby wobbling in flight.
Hognara, who had been holding back more than a dozen approaching wyverns with dragonfire, keenly noticed what was happening and accelerated toward them. A single blast of icy breath froze three wyverns more than twenty meters long.
Thick ice encased the three striped pterosaurs, and Hognara's icy breath instantly numbed their entire bodies. Unable to stay airborne, they plunged headfirst toward the ground.
The three wyverns, nearly frozen solid, shattered as soon as they crashed into the boulders along the Lalulu River.
As the magical energy in the ice encasing them slowly dissipated, their blood began seeping out. Its rich scent attracted several giant crocodiles more than ten meters long and two green anacondas of even more terrifying size.
Yet they all looked somewhat peculiar. Huge horny protrusions grew on the heads of these giant crocodiles and anacondas, and dragonlike spines ran along their backs all the way to their tails.
Their scales were exceptionally thick, and the crocodiles had unusually large, powerful limbs. The anacondas also had two short, sharp claws beneath their bodies.
Under cover of the surrounding fog and the steadily fading light, they immediately began fighting over the wyverns' mangled remains.
With Hognara having killed three wyverns, Myracis suddenly had much more room to maneuver.
Danyla gripped Myracis's saddle lock with one hand and drew her Valyrian steel sword, Proud Sun, with the other. As she poured magical energy into it, Proud Sun blazed with golden flames.
Danyla swung hard, using Proud
