Danyla gave Oserion a day to build rapport with Vaemontan, while she rode Rafa and led the other Great Dragons on patrol through the waters around Holy Flame Island.
To her surprise, traces of Giant Squid had appeared even in Blackwater Bay, between King's Landing and Holy Flame Island. For now, however, they seemed to be lurking beneath the surface and had not attacked the ships passing through the bay.
Danyla began a sweeping search of the surrounding waters on Rafa. In just one day, she cleared out more than a dozen Giant Squid and a Giant Octopus over twenty meters long that had already entered Otheryon City's harbor.
Fortunately, he had not yet made a move. Otherwise, the thriving Otheryon City might have been destroyed by him.
Danyla knew that "someone" was moving against her again, so she hurried back to Holy Flame Island and had the maesters issue a warning throughout the kingdom.
She also ordered the Dragon Warrior Shirei to patrol the western coast of Westeros on her Great Dragon. The Sunset Sea had the greatest number of giant creatures.
The Drowned God worshipped in the Iron Islands was a giant golden squid, so that region certainly would not remain peaceful.
"Mother, I want to fight at sea with you too!"
Having successfully ridden a dragon again, Oserion was unwilling to remain in Otheryon City merely guarding it.
Danyla pointed at the giant octopus hanging from the rainbow dragonstone tower and said,
"Oserion, you are now the lord of Crackclaw Point. Protecting your people is your greatest responsibility!"
"These monsters have already penetrated deep into Blackwater Bay. Many of the swamps on Crackclaw Point connect to the sea, so you must search every one of them thoroughly. If even one slips through, these monsters will bring a
