"Who am I? I'm your goddamn granddaddy-"
Karen suddenly tightened his grip on Murdoch Swan, hauled him off the sofa, and hurled him forward.
His fat body slammed into the floor with a tremendous crash.
Still not satisfied, Karen grabbed the back of the sofa with his slender arms and vaulted nimbly over it.
Still pissed off, he delivered two more kicks to the already unconscious Murdoch Swan.
"Mr. Karen, that's enough." Walter hurried over to intervene. He had attended the earlier meeting, so he recognized Karen and knew he was an assassin.
But Murdoch Swan, relying on his powerful connections, had skipped the meeting and barely bothered reading the school's notices. He actually failed to recognize the killing machine that was Karen.
"Seriously. I never thought Eden Academy would have scum like this."
Karen stopped after one final kick, then vaulted back over and sat in Murdoch Swan's seat. He casually crossed his long legs on the table and draped both arms over the back of the sofa, taking up no less space than its previous occupant.
This piece of scum was already on his hit list. He would find an opportunity to get rid of him... but not now.
"Mr. Karen, that was far too rough. Mr. Swan's connections..." Walter was deeply wary of Murdoch Swan's connections. Even an old teacher like him, who had worked at Eden Academy for decades, dared not openly oppose him.
But he seemed to have forgotten the other man's actual profession. Teaching was merely an assignment.
Karen yawned and waved a hand idly from the back of the sofa. "Don't worry. His connections aren't worth shit. If he pisses me off, heh, heh, heh..."
I'll slaughter everyone backing him, along with their whole families.
He did not say it aloud, but Henry and Walter understood what he meant.
They feared Murdoch Swan's connections because they were worried about retaliation and losing their jobs. Karen had no reason to worry about either.
Teaching had never been his main profession. As for taking revenge on him...
Who would dare?
Plenty of assassins accepted contracts to kill other assassins. Before Karen made a name for himself, quite a few people had sought revenge on him, and plenty of assassins had come to kill him.
But now... go ask which assassin would dare accept a contract on the "Black Nightmare."
They wouldn't get the money, and their lives... they wouldn't get to keep those either.
"Then there is no problem." Henry chose to let it slide. Honestly, although he had only interacted with Karen a few times, he believed Karen was more qualified to sit in the examiner's seat than the inelegant fellow lying on the floor.
At least... he genuinely wanted the children to be happy.
"All right, I'll ask the questions next. I heard your questions while I was outside, so I already know most of the answers." Under Henry's furious gaze, Karen crossed his legs, looking utterly nonchalant. "What's your daughter Anya's favorite food?"
"Peanuts."
"..." Karen looked at Anya, who had eagerly raised her hand, and did not know what to say.
That question had been meant for her parents, hadn't it? Probably.
"Sorry." Twilight and Yor bowed apologetically at the same time.
"No need to apologize. It was just a simple question. It won't affect anything." Karen waved a hand lightly, indicating that the question did not matter.
His gaze returned to Anya, whose wide eyes were sparkling.
After he had pummeled that fat bastard, Anya's affection for Karen had skyrocketed.
"Next, let's ask our adorable little girl a question."
"All right, Anya, here's my question-what do you think of that fat bastard from earlier? Is he a good person or a bad person?"
"Hiss..."
Henry and Walter, sitting beside him, sucked in sharp breaths.
That question was far too tricky. If she said Murdoch Swan was a bad person, wouldn't that tarnish Eden Academy's reputation? The school's reputation rested on the principle that the finest teachers could produce the finest students.
But if she said Murdoch Swan was a good person, what about the humiliation that fat bastard had just inflicted on the Forger family?
She had to choose between school and family!
It was downright vicious!
Henry could hardly believe it. When they entered the school, Karen had seemed quite familiar with the Forger family, yet now he was asking such a difficult question.
Hmm, so rather than going easy on acquaintances during their interview, he made it even harder?
Mr. Karen, you...
You're truly so elegant!!!
Anya did not know how to answer either. Through her telepathy, she read her father's thoughts and learned just how serious this was.
If I give the wrong answer-
Anya won't get into Eden Academy;
Father's undercover mission will end early;
The Forger family's life together will come to an end.
I don't want that!!!
Anya shook her little head, trying to encourage herself.
Anya, you can do this. First, let's see what Father and Mother are thinking.
Twilight: How should she answer this question? Murdoch Swan is a complete piece of scum, but she can't disrespect Eden Academy either... What a headache!
Yor: Kill him, kill him, slaughter him, chop him to pieces...
Mother is so scary...
Anya shrank back a little, then turned her attention to Karen and the other two.
She could not read Karen, who sat in the middle, but she could read the other two teachers.
Henry: Mr. Swan's behavior was far too inelegant.
Walter: Although Mr. Swan's behavior was certainly awful, he is still a member of the school...
Watching Anya's movements, Karen knew what she was thinking. He gave a faint smile. "Well then, little Anya, what exactly... is your answer?"
Before you continue
