Sensing her parents' expectations, Anya stepped forward, but she was so nervous that she moved like a robot, her arms and legs swinging stiffly and mechanically.

Twilight still had great confidence in Anya. He believed that, having grown up in an orphanage and spent so much time with children her own age, she ought to have excellent social skills.

What he did not know, however, was that because she possessed Mind Reading, Anya had always kept to herself at the orphanage and had hardly any friends.

Her supposedly excellent social skills were nothing more than a lie the orphanage director had told to get this troublesome child off his hands.

"Pfft-" Watching Anya move like a marionette, Karen could not help laughing.

Beside him, Henry found Karen's behavior very inelegant. The little girl was still walking across the stage. How could they, as teachers, laugh at her? It was disrespectful.

The elegant Henry would certainly put a stop to the inelegant Karen!

He frowned and tapped his cane lightly against the ground. "Mr. Karen, even if you are well acquainted with the Forger family, please refrain from laughing while their daughter is coming up."

"No, no, no, I wasn't laughing at her." Karen hurriedly waved his hands in denial. His eyes darted about as he quickly thought of a suitable excuse. "I'm happy for Anya!"

"Happy?" Henry raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Yes. Didn't Anya say during the interview that she wanted to 'cross the jungle barehanded and repeatedly undergo tests of mental fortitude with death at her side'? Look at how she's moving now. Doesn't she look just like a soldier?" Karen explained with a perfectly straight face.

Henry gave Karen an incredulous look, then turned his gaze to Anya, who was marching mechanically across the stage. His expression gradually softened, as though he had moved himself with the thought. "I see, Forger! So your entire family is this elegant?!!"

Seeing that he had successfully convinced Henry, Karen quietly breathed a sigh of relief and chuckled inwardly.

This elegant old man took things far too seriously, though teasing him now and then was rather fun.

Good thing he did not watch cartoons, or he would have seen through Anya's lie in a second.

On the stage, Anya walked into the group, her eyes fixed on the evil boss's son-Damian.

Her mission was to get along with him so her father would have a chance to meet his father.

On the stage, Anya finally reached the group, staring straight at the evil boss's son-Damian.

She clearly remembered her mission: to make friends with the boy before her so her father could meet his father, allowing peace between East and West to become a reality.

This mission was up to Anya!

Damian soon noticed that someone kept staring at him.

Proud as he was, he lifted his chin slightly, secretly pleased with himself.

Heh heh heh. As expected of someone as great as me, I'm still irresistible. This girl has good taste, too. She's already noticed my charm and fallen for me.

Reading Damian's conceited thoughts, Anya instantly sprouted a throbbing vein on her forehead. Her little face flushed red with anger, and without a word, she turned and hurried away without looking back.

She had never met anyone so shameless!!!

Seeing Anya turn away, Damian instinctively assumed she was shy.

She got so shy she ran away? How cute.

Anya read his mind again and hissed in anger.

"Next, Becky Blackbell!"

"Hello! It's nice to meet you." A cute girl with twin ponytails walked onto the stage, wearing a sweet smile as she greeted Anya, who was still sulking.

Twilight was shocked when he saw the girl. He had not even noticed that Class Three included another important figure's daughter.

Blackbell, Ostania's major defense contractor. To think its CEO's daughter attends this school, too!!

Twilight's gaze swept outward from Anya, and he was stunned as he surveyed the group of little kids below, all only five or six years old.

The girl behind Anya is the Deputy Chairman of the Council's daughter. The boy beside her is the son of the State Security Service's director, and there's... so much intelligence to be gathered from her classmates alone!!

Twilight wished he could immediately take Anya's place down below and personally befriend these children of high-ranking officials.

But all he could do now was stand where he was, clench his fists, and cheer her on. "Anya, you have to get along with everyone!"

Watching Twilight from beside him, Yor giggled to herself.

Hee hee hee. Mr. Loid really does give it his all whenever it comes to his child.

"I'm Becky. What's your name?"

On the stage, Becky had thoughts of her own.

What a childish little kid. I might as well make her my servant.

Anya was actually only four years old. To get Twilight to adopt her, she had lied about her age, claiming she was already six and was simply not very tall because of malnutrition.

Anya read her thoughts, too, and once again turned and walked away without looking back, nearly giving her poor father up on the stage a heart attack.

"Those are all twenty-nine students in Class Three. Your homeroom teacher will be Mr. Henderson!"

Amid the applause, Henry nodded slightly in acknowledgment, then walked onto the stage, ready to take the children around to familiarize them with the school.

Twilight was surprised. A housemaster outranked a homeroom teacher, so assigning him to a homeroom was highly irregular. Had he been implicated, too?

Karen was responsible for teaching Classes One, Two, and Three. After looking over every student in all three classes, he no longer wanted to stay there, so he moved aside and quietly waited for Henry.

Henry nodded to him. He had chosen to become a homeroom teacher because he wanted to return to his original purpose and properly educate the children.

Karen's message of peace had inspired him. Only by teaching these children, who would hold power in the future, how precious peace was could true peace ever arrive.

Putting on a stern expression, Henry surveyed the twenty-nine new students before him. Most were startled by his serious face and instinctively straightened their backs.

Then he prepared to lead the students away on a tour of the school.

Before leaving, he deliberately pointed at Anya and said sternly, "Anya, I understand your desire to become elegant, but do not throw everyone out of step right now!"

Anya flinched at being singled out so suddenly, while Becky giggled beside her.

Following at the rear of the group, Karen saw how aggrieved Anya looked. He took two pieces of candy from his pocket and offered one each to her and Becky.

Anya murmured, "Thank you," and reached out to take the candy.

Becky looked up at Karen, and little hearts instantly appeared in her eyes.

This was the teacher who had subdued that ferocious animal in a single move. He was so handsome, so impossibly cool.

Could this candy be a token of his love? No, he gave the little girl beside me one, too...

"Handsome teacher, may I ask who you are...?" Becky asked, her face full of admiration.

Karen was startled. He had never expected his hidden "secret" to be discovered.

She recognized how handsome I am at a glance?!! As expected of a daughter from a great family. She really does have good taste.

Eating her candy, Anya silently rolled her eyes at the conceited Mr. Karen before her.

"..."

Mr. Karen feels exactly like the evil boss's son. They're both so full of themselves.

"Mr. Karen, stop disrupting my students' formation." Noticing Karen causing trouble at the back, Henry pointed at him angrily, his face full of displeasure.
