Yun Ruyi met a mysterious woman in a serene garden, whose distant gaze reached Yun Qing in the Ghost Realm and stirred an inexplicable sense of loss in him. Yun Huang sensed a familiar but unfamiliar wisp of ghostly aura beside Yun Qing and began divining the heavenly secrets.
Yun Ruyi visited a woman in the Nether River Pavilion, who explained that she detested Manjusaka because its flowers and leaves could never meet. Yun Ruyi teased that the two of them had waited long enough to meet, while the chapter ended with a Mid-Autumn mooncake mini-theater and an author’s note.
Yun Qing and his younger siblings found the White Bone Wasteland eerily empty, then left for the deeper Ghost Realm after its enormous Demon Beast skeleton refused to react. Once they were gone, the skeleton revealed it had been pretending to be dead and recognized Yun Qing as the brother of a god of slaughter.
Yun Qing and his companions left the wasteland while the Ghost Creature he had repaired sent a warning about him deeper into the White Bone Graveyard. As Yun Tianluo explained the Ghost Realm’s history and formidable rulers, Yun Qing remembered an old ghost acquaintance.
Yun Qing and his clan entered the White Bone Graveyard, where he suspected the Skeleton Emperor ruled and hoped to ask about the Ghost Realm. When the Skeleton Emperor learned Yun Qing had arrived, he panicked and wondered whether Yun Qing knew what was happening with the Ghost Mother.
The Skeleton Emperor learned that Yun Qing and the Yun Clan’s Twelve Young Masters had entered the Ghost Realm, and feared Immortal Emperor Yuanhuang would blame him if anything happened to them. He ordered them protected and decided to watch over them himself.
Yun Huang recalled his one irreversible regret, murmured about his mother, and decided to enter the Netherworld in person. Meanwhile, Yun Qing and his siblings pressed deeper into the Ghost Realm, where they encountered the Skeleton Emperor disguised as an old man.
Yun Qing recognized that the old skeleton ghost was an old acquaintance using False Guise and followed his misleading directions rather than probing deeper into the Ghost Realm. He suspected the route would lead to a Heavenly Demon or the Second Elder.
The Skeleton Emperor believed he had reached an understanding with Yun Qing, but Gui Lingyue abducted Yun Qing’s party and transported them deep into the Netherworld. The group arrived in a red-gauzed ghost domain surrounded by masked specters, where crimson candles began to light.
Yun Qing faced Gui Lingyue, one of the Seven Lords of the Ghost Ruins, after the ghost drew ten Yun Clan prodigies into his domain and began his first act. Elsewhere in the Ghost Realm, Lin Muyao entered a pavilion with Yun Ruyi and saw a majestic woman surrounded by treasures that reminded her of Heaven Beyond Heaven.
Yun Qing entered Gui Lingyue’s illusion and found a world devastated by Kanming Heavenly Burial. After a monk asked whether Yun Qing could help save it, grotesque creatures attacked him, leaving him fighting on the ruined mountain.
Yun Qing fought through a horde of Eerie Creatures in the collapsing world, including one that took the faces of his brothers. After the battle, the Hemp-Robed Monk pointed out that the scene below had changed into a bustling human settlement.
Yun Qing confronted a monk who claimed to have preserved the world’s people in peace, but exposed the horrific truth behind their apparent happiness. The monk reappeared after Yun Qing’s spear strike, and the enraged souls below surged toward Yun Qing.
Yun Qing used his soaring firmament Dao domain and the blood of his Dao foundation to free the souls trapped in one corrupted world, but he saw countless other worlds suffering the same fate. The Demonic Monk then revealed that he had gathered reincarnation principles from many realms, and Yun Qing rejected his claim that he had done so to save this world.
Yun Qing fought the Demonic Monk’s corrupted Six Paths of Reincarnation and shattered the wheel, defeating him. A golden light entered Yun Qing’s brow and made his soul feel complete, just as Gui Lingyue appeared beside him in an Opera Mask.
Gui Lingyue extracted a blue-gold crystal from Yun Qing and left him gravely wounded before the Opera Stage’s first act ended. In the Nether River, Yun Ruyi learned that the Six Paths of Reincarnation had to be restored, then the woman she met there questioned why Yun Ruyi ranked only third among the Yun Clan’s Twelve Young Masters.
Yun Si recalled her reign as the foremost of the Yun Clan’s Twelve Young Masters and was revealed as the birth mother of Immortal Emperor Yuanhuang. Yun Qing awoke from the darkness in his life on Blue Star as Jinghua University student council president, and, after delivering an opening ceremony speech, considered his approaching graduation.
Yun Qing, a capable Capital University student council president weighing several career paths, was transported to an ancient world of immortals at midnight. He ended the chapter stunned as flying cultivators passed overhead.
Yun Si sealed an alliance between the Yun Clan and the Azure Lotus Sword Sect, then traveled south along the Wei River and recalled why she had arranged her marriage to the Ji Clan patriarch. As she asked about her son Huang'er and ordered her chariot to descend closer to the river, a young man on the bank suppressed an earth-shattering shock.
Yun Qing was nearly killed after reciting a poem about Yun Si, but she stopped her maid’s attack and ordered a guard to bring him aboard her carriage. The chapter ended with Yun Qing being carried into the carriage before Yun Si.
Yun Qing avoided looking at Yun Si after she praised the verses he had recited, while Yun Huang descended toward the Ghost Realm and recalled his first years in the Ji Clan. The memory ended as young Ji Huang learned of the mortal boy again, this time by seeing him.
Ji Huang visited Yun Si and was stunned to find her laughing warmly with the young outsider Yun Qing. Yun Qing explained how Yun Si had saved him from Heavenly Origin’s laws of rejection, which had been reversing his age, and the chapter ended with his gratitude for her help.
Yun Si explained that Yun Qing would need to cultivate until Heavenly Origin accepted him, while reassuring him that she would protect him. Yun Qing’s memories of caring for an ill grandmother made him worry that Yun Si was mentally unwell, and he wondered whether she wanted to live.
Yun Si reflected on her treatment of Yun Qing and decided to protect him, then arranged for him to meet her son, Ji Huang. The chapter ended with Ji Huang entering the courtyard and openly expressing his disdain for Yun Qing.
Yun Si introduced Yun Qing as Ji Huang’s new older brother after adopting him as her son, leaving the two boys awkwardly adjusting to their sudden family bond. Ji Huang reluctantly called Yun Qing “big brother” when Yun Si insisted.
