The other eight thousand scrolls of Daoist Scriptures he had mastered contained at least three thousand characters of Dao Script each, and as many as four or five thousand.
This scroll, with only a few hundred characters of Dao Script, was clearly incomplete.
"No wonder there was no restriction. It turns out it wasn't complete!"
Moreover, this incomplete scripture was carved on bones, so it clearly was not the original.
That was why two people could cultivate it simultaneously.
Wang Quan studied the fragment and discovered that, once mastered, its contents were best suited to fighting groups:
When he encountered enemies, no matter which direction they attacked from, it would be equivalent to fighting him head-on.
When he counterattacked, however, he would strike at them from every direction.
This technique complemented [Three Heads and Six Arms]; the two reinforced one another, producing even greater power.
After studying it two or three times, Wang Quan thoroughly mastered the technique thanks to his formidable foundation.
Then he hooked Ying Jiaren's long hair with a finger and played with it. "Jiaren, why not stay and study the Daoist Scriptures together? We could strive for a Fifth-Grade Dao Seal together."
The corner of Ying Jiaren's mouth twitched, and she sighed ruefully. "I only have one day off for this visit."
"I'm afraid I don't have time to study the Daoist Scriptures together."
Wang Quan was not disappointed. Smiling, he said, "Let's make the most of our time and study for as long as we can."
Ying Jiaren was speechless.
"That little bit of time is too short. It wouldn't be satisfying."
"Once I go back and finish my work, spending seven or eight years studying together will be the way to go."
Wang Quan instantly brightened. "Good!"
