Chijin Zi exchanged a glance with Taiyi Zhenren, and an ominous feeling rose in both their hearts.

Was the Interception Sect's Vice Leader really that formidable?

If so, this would be a real headache.

Fortunately, he usually kept to himself and rarely ventured out.

Otherwise, the waters of the Primordial World would probably grow even murkier.

With that thought, Chijin Zi continued probing.

"What is he like as a person?"

Whatever happened, every extra scrap of information they could glean about Lu Feng was worth having.

Seeing how eager they were, even the slow-witted Tiger Monster realized something was amiss.

Recalling what the Snake Monster had just said, the Tiger Monster chuckled twice.

"Our Senior Brother Lu is the finest person you could ask for!"

"He's the best senior brother in our Interception Sect! Not only does he have extraordinary origins and outstanding talent, but he's handsome too-far better-looking than crooked melons and cracked dates like you!"

"In the Interception Sect, I can't match Senior Brother Lu in strength, but when it comes to looks, I can certainly give him a run for his money!"

After hearing the Tiger Monster's remarks, Taiyi Zhenren and Chijin Zi exchanged a glance, at a loss for words.

It seemed Lu Feng was strong, but as for his looks...

Taiyi Zhenren glanced at the Tiger Monster and silently shook his head.

Not much to look at!

Now that they were coaxing information out of them, Taiyi Zhenren followed up with a question.

"Then why hasn't your Senior Brother Lu ventured out for so many years?"

If he hadn't held the title of Vice Leader, they probably wouldn't even have known the Interception Sect had such a person.

The Tiger Monster gave a soft snort.

"Senior Brother Lu can divine everything under heaven without even stepping outside."

"Take the opportunities awaiting our Interception Sect disciples this time, for example..."

When the Tiger Monster stopped at the most crucial point, eagerness crept into Taiyi Zhenren's and Chijin Zi's eyes.

"What about them?"

The Tiger Monster and Snake Monster exchanged a glance, grasped each other's intent, and immediately began spinning their tale, taking turns.

"Senior Brother Lu truly is the pillar holding up our Interception Sect."

"He single-handedly arranged for the Interception Sect disciples to go out seeking opportunities this time!"

"To tell the truth, most of the opportunities in the Primordial World right now probably came from Senior Brother Lu emptying out his own reserves and scattering them around."

"These opportunities were all prepared for our Interception Sect disciples, and only our Interception Sect disciples know how to find them."

As they reached the most crucial part, Taiyi Zhenren and Chijin Zi could not help holding their breath, clearly waiting for more.

Yet the Tiger Monster and Snake Monster fell silent right there.

It left Taiyi Zhenren and Chijin Zi feeling as though something were scratching at their hearts, unbearably uncomfortable.

"How do you find these opportunities?"

Seeing their intentions laid bare, the Tiger Monster and Snake Monster snorted inwardly.

They knew these Chan Sect people were up to no good!

They wanted to fish information out of them and steal the opportunities meant for Interception Sect disciples!

They simply didn't take them seriously at all!

In that case, they wouldn't let these two off so easily today.

The Snake Monster's eyes darted about before the monster gave a soft sigh.

"After talking for so long, I suddenly feel rather thirsty."

Taking the hint, the Tiger Monster patted his belly and sat down on the ground.

"I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it, but I'm a little hungry too."

Faced with one thirsty monster and one hungry monster, Taiyi Zhenren and Chijin Zi were utterly flummoxed!

They were still waiting to hear the rest!

And now these two were stopping right here?

"Don't do that! Keep going!"

"Once you finish, we'll treat you to plenty of good food and drink!"

But the Tiger Monster and Snake Monster were not buying it at all!

"I want to see some heavenly nectar right now!"

"Exactly! And I want a feast of fish and meat!"

"Otherwise, what's there to talk about? Where's the fun in that?"

"With nothing to eat or drink, how could we possibly remember any information?"

Seeing the pair resort to such shameless tricks, Taiyi Zhenren and Chijin Zi had no choice. After discussing it, Taiyi Zhenren took a bottle of spirit wine from his pouch.

"All I have here is a bottle of fine Osmanthus Brew..."

The moment the wine appeared, the Tiger Monster's eyes lit up, and he snatched the bottle out of Taiyi Zhenren's hand.

After pouring the Snake Monster a cup, he put the bottle straight to his lips and drank.

In just a few gulps, the entire bottle of Osmanthus Brew disappeared into his belly.

Patting his still-empty belly, the Tiger Monster smacked his lips.

"What was that supposed to be?"

"I didn't even get a taste!"

Watching the monster guzzle down the Osmanthus Brew he had treasured for so long, Taiyi Zhenren was aghast.

He felt as though his heart were bleeding!

"I only had that one bottle!"

The Tiger Monster remained sprawled on the ground.

"I still haven't filled my belly!"

"Without food and drink, I won't be able to remember a thing!"

With no other choice, Taiyi Zhenren immediately winked at Chijin Zi.

Seeing this, Chijin Zi could only take a bag of fruit from his own pouch.

"These are fine Myriad Spirit Fruits. Once you've eaten them, you must tell us the method."

At the sight of the bag of fruit, the Tiger Monster immediately snatched it over and split it evenly with the Snake Monster.

Watching the pair polish off the entire bag in a few bites, Chijin Zi felt his heart ache too.

He had barely tasted a few fruits from that bag himself, yet now every last one had ended up in these two monsters' bellies!

But even after finishing, the two monsters still seemed unsatisfied.

"That's all?"

"No, no!"

"We're not full yet!"

Hearing that they still weren't full, Taiyi Zhenren and Chijin Zi immediately protested!

"You've drunk our Osmanthus Brew and eaten our fresh fruit. How can you still not be full?"

The Tiger Monster sneered.

"How could you possibly fathom the capacity of your Lord Tiger's belly?"

"Hurry up and fetch more good fresh fruit and spirit wine, or neither of us will remember a single thing."

The Snake Monster nodded along.

"Exactly!"

"We can't go hungry. Once we're hungry, we can't remember anything!"

Not only had their offerings vanished like stones tossed into water, but they had failed to learn a single piece of the information they wanted.

Taiyi Zhenren and Chijin Zi exchanged a glance and could only confer in hushed voices.

"What do we do now?"

"With those two acting like this, no amount of food will fill their bellies!"

"But we can't just let the information slip away, can we?"

"How about we go back and ask our fellow disciples to help?"

"Good idea. With more people, we can subdue them both. Then getting the information will be easy, won't it?"

"Let's do that!"

The two quickly finished their discussion, then called out to the Tiger Monster and Snake Monster nearby.

"We came out in a hurry today and didn't bring much food or drink. Why don't you two wait here a little while?"

"Once we've fetched some food and drink, we'll come back and offer it to you. How does that sound?"
