Chun Xiaobai escaped Cangshan Daoist after a disastrous divination cost the old man thousands of years of lifespan and a precious medicinal herb. Back at his Cave Abode, Chun Xiaobai reunited with Bai Jin'er and Fang Yuan, then asked them to contact Bai Yutang, who was recounting his encounter to the Inner Sect elders.
Chun Xiaobai worried that the Sect might interrogate Bai Yutang, so he focused on growing stronger by spending 1.5 billion spirit stones. After advancing to the bone treasury stage, he devised a scheme to make money by selling demonic qi from his Black Flame Blade.
Chun Xiaobai decided to sell demonic qi from his Black Flame Blade and convinced Fang Yuan and Bai Jin'er to join him. He planned to pose as Emperor Pavilion emissaries and extort wealthy criminals, leaving the trio ready to choose their first target.
Chun Xiaobai decided to target Han Fei, a wealthy Inner Sect disciple, as the first customer for his new money-making scheme. Fang Yuan and Bai Jin'er found Han Fei at a gathering of True Disciples, leaving Chun Xiaobai ready to pursue him.
Chun Xiaobai learned that more than ten thousand true disciples had gathered for a meeting, while Mu Qinglan struggled to restore her reputation as Sect Master. Lu Qingshan proposed revamping the mission-points system and using points to manage access to the sixth-tier spirit-gathering array, leaving Mu Qinglan intrigued by the plan.
Mu Qinglan accepted Lu Qingshan’s proposal to use points and generous bonuses to allocate the Spirit-Gathering Array and promote Sect businesses, believing it could revitalize the Azure Cloud Sect. Meanwhile, Chun Xiaobai learned that Fang Yuan and Bai Jin'er had spent a fortune buying supplies during the Sect’s promotion and realized the scheme sounded familiar.
Chun Xiaobai realized the Azure Cloud Sect had copied his promotion trick, but the sale had distracted its disciples from pursuing him. He prepared to test his demonic-qi business by planting a demonic weapon outside Han Fei’s cave abode, where Fang Yuan narrowly dodged an incoming attack.
Chun Xiaobai and his companions lured Han Fei into taking a demonic artifact, then confronted him while recording the evidence. Han Fei realized the danger of being caught with it and was left terrified as Chun Xiaobai ordered him to return to the Emperor Pavilion for questioning.
Chun Xiaobai, Fang Yuan, and Bai Jin'er confronted Han Fei over the Demonic Artifact and convinced him they were Emperor Pavilion officers. After taking his valuables and the Demonic Sword, they vanished, leaving Han Fei terrified and considering flight.
Chun Xiaobai and his companions looted Han Fei and debated how to expand their demonic-qi scam beyond the Azure Cloud Sect. The chapter ended with them considering Elder Lu Qingshan as a partner who could introduce them to new targets.
Chun Xiaobai decided to recruit Lu Qingshan for a scheme, then sent Bai Yutang to ask Lu to “arrest” him, while Bai Yutang mistook the order for a secret code. Meanwhile, Mu Qinglan celebrated the Azure Cloud Sect’s windfall but recognized that spirit stones alone could not restore its former standing.
Mu Qinglan searched for the Azure Cloud Sect’s prophesied lucky star while Lu Qingshan struggled to find Chun Xiaobai and conceal their friendship. When Bai Yutang offered to lead Lu Qingshan to the person who activated the spirit-gathering array, Lu Qingshan grew suspicious that Chun Xiaobai had set a trap.
Bai Yutang tried to lure Lu Qingshan to meet Chun Xiaobai by revealing his identity and promising him five hundred million spirit stones. Lu Qingshan suspected a trap but ultimately agreed to go with Bai Yutang and collect his share.
Bai Yutang lured Lu Qingshan to Green Bamboo Peak, where Chun Xiaobai tried to recruit him for a lucrative business by drawing on his knowledge and connections. Lu Qingshan remained suspicious but began describing the Eastern Region’s major sects.
Chun Xiaobai tried to recruit Lu Qingshan into a scheme to sell demonic qi, insisting they would only pretend to be Demon Cultivators and use the threat of exposure to extort sects. Lu Qingshan remained wary as Chun Xiaobai explained that the Emperor Pavilion’s fearsome reputation would make the plan profitable.
Chun Xiaobai persuaded Lu Qingshan to join his scheme to frame wealthy sects with demonic qi and extort them, using the promise of five billion spirit stones and an Emperor Pavilion token to ease Lu Qingshan’s fears. Lu Qingshan agreed and began naming potential targets, but still demanded to know where Chun Xiaobai got the demonic qi.
Chun Xiaobai revealed his Demonic Artifact and persuaded Lu Qingshan to join his scheme, then chose the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect as their first target. The group prepared disguises as Emperor Pavilion Envoys and arrived at Ten Thousand Flowers City.
Chun Xiaobai and his companions reached the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect and devised a plan to infiltrate it under the guise of Emperor Pavilion envoys. Chun Xiaobai searched the sect for a powerful elder to target, then heard a woman's moans coming from a lit tower and crept toward it.
Chun Xiaobai left a demonic sword at the hall, and Liu Ruhuo used it to kill Liu Fan after he recognized its demonic qi. Wang Xu discovered the scene and learned that a hidden witness had recorded it and was demanding ten billion spirit stones, leaving the sect scrambling to catch the black-clad figure.
After discovering a dead Demon Cultivator and evidence of a recording, Wang Luan ordered the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect to seal the area and hunt down the witness. Chun Xiaobai fled the massive search, but Wang Xu pursued him and accused him of framing the Sect.
Chun Xiaobai escaped Wang Xu by hiding in the Martial God Tower after threatening to expose the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect unless it paid him ten billion spirit stones. At Fallen Phoenix Slope, Wang Luan and the elders debated whether Chun Xiaobai was an extortionist or an enemy seeking revenge, while Wang Xu suggested he might truly be trying to extort them.
Wang Luan prepared to capture Chun Xiaobai and recover the Image Recording Stone, but the arrival of four Emperor Pavilion Envoys in Ten Thousand Flowers City forced him to greet them instead. At the inn, Lu Qingshan and his companions feared Chun Xiaobai had fallen into the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect’s hands, then pretended to be genuine envoys when Wang Luan arrived to pay his respects.
Lu Qingshan, Bai Yutang, Fang Yuan, and Bai Jin'er intimidated Wang Luan and the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect elders while pretending to be Emperor Pavilion envoys. After the sect leaders left, Lu Qingshan discovered their gift contained twenty billion spirit stones, and Bai Yutang warned him to stay quiet because they had not gone far.
Bai Jin'er, Fang Yuan, and Bai Yutang argued with Lu Qingshan over the Storage Ring while worrying that Chun Xiaobai had been captured or killed. Trapped inside the Martial God Tower, Chun Xiaobai opened the second level and entered its Eighteen Bronze Man Formation, where the bronze men immediately attacked him.
Chun Xiaobai fought his way through the Martial God Tower’s second level, using his golden staff like a saber to defeat all eighteen bronze men. A bronze wall then revealed bell-based martial techniques, leaving him wondering whether the tower would provide him with a bell.
