Chun Xiaobai learned the Golden Bell Shield in the Martial God Tower and used it to repel a Nascent Soul elder while fleeing the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect disciples. Despite sensing an ambush at Fallen Phoenix Mountain, he headed there to collect the ten billion spirit stones.
Chun Xiaobai disguised himself with an overwhelming stench and approached Fallen Phoenix Mountain, where Ten Thousand Flowers Sect’s leaders waited to capture him and seize his evidence. Wang Luan stopped his attack when Chun Xiaobai threatened to spread the Image Stone proving the sect’s collusion with demon cultivators.
Chun Xiaobai blackmailed Wang Luan by claiming the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect had colluded with a demon, and Wang Luan paid him twenty billion spirit stones for his Image Recording Stone. After Chun Xiaobai fled, Wang Luan suspected he knew the sect’s secret and ordered the sect to capture him before he escaped.
Chun Xiaobai fled the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect’s pursuing Grand Supreme Elders while searching for a way to escape. Meanwhile, Crow Daoist used a Divine Concealment Talisman to sneak toward the sect’s Treasure Vault, and Chun Xiaobai activated his Treasure-Seeing Divine Eye as he continued running.
Chun Xiaobai spotted Crow Daoist near the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect and used him to cover his escape, leaving Crow surrounded by the sect’s cultivators. Hua Yurong recognized Crow and accused him of helping the little bandit frame the sect.
Chun Xiaobai escaped the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect’s pursuit and slipped into Ten Thousand Flowers City, where his companions had been anxiously waiting. He reunited with them at the inn, battered and bruised but boasting that no one could catch him.
Chun Xiaobai and his companions divided the spirit stones Wang Luan had given them, then left the inn for the city gates. Wang Luan and several Ten Thousand Flowers Sect elders arrived to see them off while secretly wondering whether the envoys had learned of the sect’s collusion with Demon Cultivators.
Lu Qingshan and his companions escaped Ten Thousand Flowers City after impersonating Emperor Pavilion Envoys, leaving the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect worried that their secret had been exposed and their lifeline compromised. The group reached a city near the Azure Cloud Sect and spent their spirit stones freely, while Chun Xiaobai prepared to test a newly purchased Magical Treasure.
Chun Xiaobai tested how the Martial God Art absorbed spiritual essence and concluded that he needed greater strength to expand his schemes. Lu Qingshan and the others persuaded him to launch another job, and Lu Qingshan presented a register of more than three hundred Eastern Region sects, beginning with the Spirit Origin Sect.
After debating the hypocrisy of the so-called righteous sects, Chun Xiaobai decided his crew needed more capable members after their dangerous trip to the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect. He tasked Lu Qingshan with finding trustworthy, tight-lipped experts to recruit.
Chun Xiaobai’s group chose the Spirit Origin Sect as their next target and tasked Lu Qingshan with recruiting three powerful allies. Lu Qingshan returned to the Azure Cloud Sect, handed out gifts to female disciples, and began considering which elders to recruit.
Lu Qingshan decided to recruit five Grand Supreme Elders for Chun Xiaobai’s dangerous Demonic Artifact-selling venture, hiding its true purpose until they were committed. He tried to visit Zhang Xuanhe with a rare Realm-Breaking Pill, but Zhang mistook the gift for a taunt and blamed the Sect Master for indulging Lu Qingshan.
Lu Qingshan visited Zhang Xuanhe and gave him Tier Four Elixirs worth twenty million spirit stones, prompting Zhang to suspect he had sold a sect treasure. After Lu explained he had earned the money on a business trip, Zhang eagerly asked to join his next venture.
Lu Qingshan recruited Zhang Xuanhe for a mysterious job by offering him five hundred million spirit stones, while hiding what the work involved. He then went to seek out Zhou Qingyi, who still held a grudge against him over a love letter delivered eight hundred years earlier.
Lu Qingshan visited Zhou Qingyi with expensive Beauty-Nourishing Pills, but she mistook his gift for proof that he had romantic feelings for her and grew angry when he called her old. He finally revealed that he had come to ask her to accompany him and keep things under control.
Lu Qingshan recruited Zhou Qingyi and three male elders for a business trip, offering large payments while keeping referral fees for himself. At the meeting place, Zhang Xuanhe and Zhao Chenshan discovered that Lu had invited five people in total and challenged his claim that he was applying on their behalf.
Lu Qingshan brought Azure Cloud Sect’s five Grand Supreme Elders to meet Chun Xiaobai and his companions, where Chun paid each elder a hundred million spirit stones in tea money. After the elders accepted the job, Chun prepared to set out with them, while Bai Yutang concealed his identity behind a false name.
Chun Xiaobai led Lu Qingshan, Bai Jin'er, Bai Yutang, Fang Yuan, and five Spirit Transformation elders to the Spirit Origin Sect, while the elders mistakenly believed he was seeking justice for a lover whose Dao Foundation had been stolen. They reached a hill overlooking the sect, where Lu Qingshan worried that the elders would abandon Chun Xiaobai once they learned the real purpose of the trip.
Chun Xiaobai equipped his group with imitation official armor and prepared them for an operation at the Spirit Origin Sect. The five Azure Cloud Sect elders mistook him for a prince seeking recurring compensation, and the group set out to follow his cues and keep a low profile.
Chun Xiaobai led Bai Yutang, Bai Jin'er, Fang Yuan, and five Grand Supreme Elders toward the Spirit Origin Sect at night, presenting their operation as a justice-seeking mission while preparing for a covert raid. The group reached the sect’s back mountain, where Chun Xiaobai sealed the auras of some companions and began scouting the elders’ quarters.
Chun Xiaobai led Lu Qingshan and four Azure Cloud Sect elders into the Spirit Origin Sect at night, where his demonic sword terrified the elders and made them suspect he planned something worse than theft. As they tried to edge away, Chun Xiaobai caught them and demanded to know whether they were running.
Chun Xiaobai threw the Demonic Sword outside Qian Hesong’s hall and recorded the Core Elder holding it. When Qian Hesong realized it was a demonic artifact and tried to flee, Chun Xiaobai shouted that he was a demon and ordered his companions to seize him.
Chun Xiaobai exposed Qian Hesong and the Demonic Artifact at the Spirit Origin Sect, then used the chaos to make the sect’s leaders mistake his group for Emperor Pavilion Envoys. Zhang Xuanhe realized he and the others were impersonating the envoys just as the sect elders begged for mercy.
Chun Xiaobai and his companions used a staged formation to convince the Spirit Origin Sect that they were facing Emperor Pavilion forces, while the sect's leaders denied having anything to do with the Demonic Artifact. The standoff ended with the sect pleading its case and Chun Xiaobai recognizing that evidence would be needed to prove their guilt.
Chun Xiaobai used the Image Recording Stone to make He Yunting believe the Spirit Origin Sect had been caught sheltering a demon and hiding a demonic artifact. As Chun Xiaobai ordered the sect arrested and Qian Hesong subjected to Soul Searching, He Yunting killed Qian Hesong and revealed that he had reached peak spirit transformation.
