Tang Yan struggled against the Famous Sects while Lin Dongxue suspected Skeleton was secretly holding back and might be Tang Yan. Her discovery was interrupted when the Other Races attacked the Dao Sect, forcing its defenders to turn their attention to the invading army.
Tang Yan, disguised as Skeleton, fled after overwhelming Lu Ruiqing, leaving the Dao Sect to face the Other Races without him. As the battle turned against the Human Clan, Xia Jiazi attempted to assassinate Bingxiang but was caught by his counterattack, and his saber threatened to kill her.
Tang Yan, still disguised as a skeleton, slaughtered the Other Races’ forces and revealed his identity to Lin Dongxue when she called his name. The chapter ended with Lin Dongxue embracing him as he gently stroked her hair.
Tang Yan returned to the Dao Sect as a skeleton, cleared up the suspicions surrounding his actions, and helped Lin Dongxue become a Heavenly Venerable. He left the sects with a plan to deter the Other Races before the Great Age arrived.
Tang Yan and Lin Dongxue told his family and allies that he was alive, then traveled to the Immortal Wood Clan to unleash the Burning-Heaven Calamity Banner. The banner devastated the Royal City, and the Immortal Wood King recognized it and appealed to its hidden human attackers.
Lin Dongxue helped the Burning-Heaven Calamity Banner devastate the Immortal Wood Clan’s Royal City while Tang Yan left to seek bone power. As the Human Clan used the victory to pressure the other races into a non-aggression treaty, Rao Baoyue told Little Dot that Tang Yan had returned to life.
Tang Yan and Lin Dongxue used the Burning-Heaven Calamity Banner against the Divine Clan, only to be caught in an explosion that destroyed the Royal City. After Lin Dongxue recovered, Tang Yan discovered the banner had lost its power, while Lu Fengzong questioned Du Shu about whether Tang Yan would surrender the Human Emperor’s Throne.
As the Great Age began, the Five Clan Lords broke free from their imprisonment, while Rao Baoyue used Tang Yan’s pill test to reach the Sage realm. As the sects prepared for the weakening barriers between races, Feng Chenye abandoned his unfinished book and chose to fight.
Feng Chenye became a Literary Sage, Meng Yao reached the Heavenly Venerable Realm, and Tang Yan promised to marry Lin Dongxue after the war, helping her become a Sage. Meanwhile, Zi Yun urged the Dragon Clan to ally with the Human Clan, but the Dragon Lord favored attacking the Human Clan first.
Zi Yun opposed the Dragon Lord’s plan to seize Human Clan fortune, while secretly buying time for the Dragon Clan to choose its allies. After the Spirit Rain ended and the Human Clan gained powerful new Sages and Heavenly Venerables, its leaders debated who should command the coming war, leaving Tang Yan’s nomination challenged by Lu Fengzong.
Tang Yan accepted the Human Emperor's Throne after Lu Fengzong yielded his claim, and Lu Fengzong pledged the Demon Sect's allegiance before breaking through to the Sage Realm. As the allied forces prepared their battle plans, Du Shu revealed that he and Fang Xuan were members of Reach the Summit, whose leader was Tang Yan.
Fang Xuan presented the Human Clan’s strategy for surviving the Great Age, emphasizing alliances, trade, military displays, and a carefully timed defense. As Qi Yiyang negotiated with the Dragon Clan, Ao Zheng rejected the invitation to join the Human Clan’s camp.
Qi Yiyang offered the Dragon Clan a chance to become one of humanity’s auspicious beasts, and an Engraving Realm Pearl showed the dragons the Human Clan’s formidable fighters. The demonstration ended with Human Emperor Tang Yan’s sword strike seeming to cut through the projection, leaving the Dragon Clan shaken as it weighed alliance against revenge.
The Dragon Clan agreed to ally with the Human Clan after seeing Tang Yan’s sword intent, while thirty-six other races prepared to invade. As the war began, Tang Yan slaughtered the Ancestral God and the forces accompanying him at Tingfeng Abyss.
Tang Yan and the Human Clan’s forces used Heavenly Communicator intelligence to ambush the Other Races, while Fang Xuan secretly intercepted their communications and fed them false orders. The Nine-Tailed Fox and Blood God mistook the fabricated reports for victories and believed their forces were weakening the Human Clan, leaving the commanders confident as the real battle approached.
After the Human Clan exploited the Heavenly Communicators to mislead the Other Races Allied Army, the scattered forces regrouped and launched an assault on the eastern battlefield. Tang Yan halted their charge with a hundred thousand Mountain-Piercing Cannons, and the chapter ended as the allied army’s shield cracked under the bombardment.
The Human Clan’s Mountain-Piercing Cannons devastated the invading army but exhausted their ammunition, leaving Tang Yan and the defenders to face a much stronger enemy in battle. After the Nine-Tailed Fox trapped Tang Yan in black sludge and the Human Clan suffered mounting losses, Fang Xuan told Lin Dongxue to lure the Other Races into a forbidden zone like the Heavenly Wailing Ruins Secret Realm.
Lin Dongxue began sealing the forbidden zone while Tang Yan remained trapped, but Little Dot and Little Meatball rescued him with their five-colored divine blood. Tang Yan broke free and turned the battle against the Other Races, then entered the Fate-Killing Chessboard; with Du Shu and the Demonic Spirit Heavenly Venerable joining him, the Human Clan won.
In Peace City, Feng Chenye and Meng Yao joked about the Human Clan’s flourishing life and upcoming weddings before debating the ending of Feng Chenye’s story. The novel concluded with Old Three explaining the ending and thanking readers, while promising possible side stories.
Yan Biao's diary recounted his life on Clear Sky Peak, from being beaten by Master and bonding with Tang Yan to surviving a chaotic war. It ended with Yan Biao learning that Master was marrying Tang Yan and getting beaten for calling her his younger sister-in-law.
