Arc 15The Calamity Investigation
Chu Xingchen helped the Fairies secure a self-governed homeland, then prepared for the approaching Great Calamity and traveled to the Western Ox-He Continent to investigate suspected demonic ties to the Buddhist Sect. He and Xu Jin infiltrated Ten Thousand Buddhas Temple with Lychee, where they confronted the monk Cilin over its Wish Power and alleged dealings with demons.
- Li Junzi wrote the Second Sage’s words on a sheet and set out to travel, while Chu Xingchen obtained a jade identity token from Yuyang Daozi.
- Chu Xingchen returned to Ten Thousand Flowers Ridge, praised its construction, and encouraged Cui Hao after seeing his ingenious mechanical house design.
- Chu Xingchen proposed a plan for the Fairies’ homeland that restricted entry, compensated for harm, supported trade, and recognized their self-government, and Luo Yue accepted it.
- Bai Xuanling helped release the Spirit Vein at Ten Thousand Flowers Ridge, and Luo Yue left a sapling and a trace of its origin with the sect.
- Qinghe brought Bai Xuanling’s warning about a possible calamity, and Chu Xingchen studied the ancient records before receiving the system quest that the Great Calamity approached.
- Chu Xingchen traveled alone to the Western Ox-He Continent, met Lychee in Huangliang City, and learned that reports of demons were ancient and the sites he sought lay in Buddhist territory.
- Xu Jin told Chu Xingchen that the Buddhist Sect might be linked to demons and was tracking wish power through Buddha statues ahead of the Ten Thousand Buddhas Assembly.
- Chu Xingchen, Xu Jin, and Lychee entered Ten Thousand Buddhas Temple, where Xu Jin disrupted the gathered wish power and Lychee posed as a powerful representative of the Evil Spirit Cult while Chu Xingchen accused Cilin of dealings with demons.
