Background / History

Bo Saixi served as Sea God Island's High Priest and waited for the Sea God's chosen successor. When Li Fei was directed to undertake the Sea God's trials, she received the divine message and personally escorted him to the Sea God Hall and the site of the First Trial. 115

As a High Priest, Bo Saixi was bound to Sea God Island: she could neither attain the divine level nor travel far from the Sea God Temple. She regarded her eventual sacrifice for a Sea God successor without fear, stating that the Sea God had given her everything and that she had grown tired of being confined to the island. 122

Li Fei later revealed that Tang Chen—whom Bo Saixi had awaited for many years—had become the mindless Slaughter King after being possessed by the Blood Bat King. Bo Saixi immediately asked Li Fei to save him; Li Fei accepted in consideration of Sea God Island's longstanding support. 122

After Li Fei killed the Blood Bat King and restored Tang Chen's lucidity, Tang Chen set out to settle Clear Sky Sect affairs before joining Bo Saixi on Sea God Island for the remainder of his limited lifespan. 123

Bo Saixi is composed and dutiful. She calmly accepts the obligations and restrictions of her High Priest position, including the prospect of giving her life for the Sea God's inheritance. 122
