To protect her younger sister and preserve the royal family's reputation, Vivian sternly warned Lilith that she must keep her distance from Victoria and end this inappropriate friendship.
To Lilith, however, that warning was an insult to her friend's character, and an affront to the pure friendship she cherished.
For the first time in her life, Lilith, who had always looked up to her older sister, openly defied her wishes.
