|---|---|---|
| LV10; Flame Explosion LV1 mastered | 7 8 | Achieved before her introduction through exceptional talent and royal resources. Mastering a rudimentary highest-tier fire spell at this level established her reputation as a prodigy. The achievement is also stated to have occurred when she was ten years old 20. |
Background / History
Lilith grew up surrounded by praise for her magical talent and supported by the resources of the royal family. Her early mastery of Flame Explosion astonished the royal magic advisers and fostered her conviction that nothing was beyond her abilities 8 20.
Upon enrolling at Glory Kael Magic Academy, she immediately became one of its most prominent first-year students. She wanted to meet Victoria and Sylvia because of their reputed strength, showing little interest in their differing social backgrounds. When neither was available, she decided to enter the Dungeon alone and return with loot to impress her overprotective maids 7 8.
Appearance
Lilith has long, fiery-red hair, ruby-red eyes, and a slender figure. Her disguise gives her a less distinctive appearance, including dark brown hair 8 12 18.
- Academy uniform: A fitted dark uniform with gold piping and buttons, a white shirt, and the deep red bow identifying a first-year student 17.
- Royal detail: A light-colored underlayer embroidered with the Kahn Royal Family’s crest 17.
- Accessories: Flame-patterned hair clips, long stockings, and polished leather shoes 17.
Personality
Proud, willful, and intensely competitive, Lilith expects her talent to secure victory. Being evenly matched with Victoria frustrates her, and she refuses to accept the prospect of a draw. Nevertheless, she can reassess an opponent’s strength and act cautiously when her initial expectations prove wrong 20 21.
Her pride also underpins a strong sense of obligation: after Greg saves her, she insists on repaying him rather than exploiting the situation. His refusal to demand anything challenges her assumptions about noble behavior 9.
Lilith becomes easily embarrassed when her feelings toward Greg are noticed. She enjoys their informal companionship but denies its significance, worries that revealing her royal identity would change his treatment of her, and struggles to admit that she wants his attention or approval 12 16 17 23.
Abilities & Skills
Flame Explosion
Lilith’s signature spell is a highest-tier fire spell mastered at LV1 while she herself is only LV10 8 11.
- Forms a volatile crimson fireball with white-hot edges and tremendous destructive power 21.
- Defeats Victoria when aimed directly into the pit she intends to use as shelter 21 23.
- Requires heavy mana expenditure; Greg describes the original-game version of the duel as leaving Lilith without mana after casting it 11.
- A direct hit would gravely injure or kill an ordinary person. Greg attributes Victoria’s comparatively minor injuries to divine protection 30.
Flame Chain
Lilith creates and controls a chain of pure fire with a flick of her wrist 20.
- Sweeps away all five of Victoria’s Rapid-Fire Water Arrows despite their elemental advantage.
- Retains enough reach after intercepting the arrows to threaten Victoria with its continuing sweep 20.
Flame Arrow Scatter
A volley of fire arrows used to follow up her Flame Chain attack 20.
- Forces Victoria to defend with an Earth-Flow Wall.
- Allows Lilith to maintain offensive pressure immediately after her opponent evades the chain 20.
Combat Judgment
Although Greg considers Victoria more experienced in actual combat, Lilith demonstrates quick tactical reasoning during their duel 11 21.
- Recognizes Victoria as a serious threat after the opening exchange 20.
- Uses Greg’s warning to identify an apparent stumble as a possible feint 21.
- Predicts Victoria’s intended hiding place and redirects Flame Explosion into it 21.
- Her confidence does not make her immune to ambush: a river monster catches her off guard, and she cannot successfully cast her fire magic while submerged 8 9.
Equipment / Items
- Magical disguise device — Worn behind her ear and removed by peeling it away. Conceals her recognizable appearance while she poses as Lily Carlo; she also uses it to evade notice during an after-curfew outing 9 12 23.
Relationships
- Greg Sass — Her rescuer and an increasingly important companion. Previously disgusted by his reputation, she revises her opinion after witnessing his self-deprecation, cooking, and willingness to help without repayment. He continues to know her as Lily Carlo during their nighttime encounter 9 12 23.
- Victoria Cecil — A rival whose strength interests her. Lilith challenges her openly, defeats her in the placement assessment, and becomes the opponent Victoria intends to challenge again after recovering 18 21 23 33.
- Sylvia Lorraine — Another outstanding first-year whom Lilith initially seeks out to assess her strength; later a fellow Class A student 8 33.
- Vivian Kahn — Her older paternal half-sister and Greg’s former fiancée. Vivian’s strictness makes Lilith’s maids fear the consequences of reporting her disappearance 10 12.
- Renee, Laila, and Lena — Her personal maids and childhood companions. Their private relationship is closer to sisterhood than a formal mistress–servant arrangement; they recognize her evasions and tease her about her unnamed new friend 12.
- Grace Quinn — Oversees Lilith’s placement duel and serves as Class A’s homeroom teacher 19 20 33.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Dungeon Rescue and the Lily Carlo Identity
Lilith’s unauthorized Dungeon excursion nearly ends in disaster when a tentacle drags her from a bridge into the underground river. Greg rescues her, checks that she is safe, and leaves without requesting a reward 8 9.
She follows him and invents the name Lily Carlo to keep her identity secret. Over a meal at his camp, she learns that he has reconciled with Victoria and Sylvia. Their conversation turns contentious when he first mistakes her questions about strength for questions about attractiveness, then predicts that Victoria will defeat her with a feint 9 10 11.
Back in her dormitory, Lilith finds herself preoccupied with Greg and uncertain whether their companionship would survive the revelation that she is a princess 12 16.
Class Placement Duel
Determined to disprove Greg’s prediction, Lilith approaches the assessment eager to defeat Victoria. Before their match, she silences nobles disparaging Victoria and Greg, then offers Victoria a confident handshake and challenge 17 18.
Their duel develops into a stalemate rather than the overwhelming victory Lilith expected. When Victoria pretends to lose her balance, Lilith remembers Greg’s warning and anticipates her escape into a pit. She fires Flame Explosion directly at that refuge and wins 20 21 23.
After the Assessment
Lilith sneaks out in disguise to announce her victory to Greg. Their accidental collision and his offered hand leave her too flustered to deliver her planned boast; she finally shouts the result while running back toward the dormitories. Greg is shocked to learn that his expected outcome has changed 22 23.
In Class A, Lilith participates actively enough that some of her questions stump the instructors 33.
Original-Game Romance Route
- Intended opening: Victoria originally defeats Lilith by baiting and evading Flame Explosion. That defeat draws Lilith’s interest and opens her romance route; Lilith still receives special admission to Class A because of her talent 11 33.
- Possessive branch: At sufficiently high affection, noticing another heroine’s affection surpassing hers can trigger obsessive possessiveness. She invites the player character into the Dungeon and engineers an apparent accident that traps them together 37.
- Route variation: Greg describes her possible portrayals as tsundere, a perennial loser in love, or yandere. These are original-game possibilities, not established outcomes of her current relationship with Greg 38.
