"Hey, isn't that a little too quick a change in attitude?!"
Olivia watched Greg greet Luna respectfully like a well-behaved model student one second, only to turn toward her with a flippant air the next. She couldn't help calling him out on it.
Greg ignored her comment and said, "All right, cut the act. I have a pretty good idea why you called me over."
He fished a Recording Stone out of his luggage and tightened his fingers slightly. With a crack, the Recording Stone shattered in his palm, and several fragments fell to the floor.
"That should do it, right?"
Before the Exchange Meeting began, Greg had used a recording of Olivia personally admitting to embezzlement as leverage to strike a deal with her, requiring her to stand by him throughout the Exchange Meeting, no matter what happened.
And in fact, she had done exactly that.
So now that the Exchange Meeting was over, Greg destroyed the recording in front of her, just as promised.
Olivia looked down at the broken fragments of the Recording Stone on the floor and fell silent for a moment.
"Mm... actually, that wasn't why I called you over at all. Honestly, I wouldn't even mind whether you destroyed that recording or not..."
She raised her foot and ground the fragments under her sole. Only after making sure they could never be restored did she look up at Greg with a sincere expression.
"Do you really think I'm the kind of person who wouldn't help you unless you had something hanging over me? Just what do you think our relationship is?"
Greg tilted his head and answered without hesitation, "Isn't it an exceptionally pure relationship of mutual exploitation?"
Olivia fell silent for a second, then nodded frankly. "Mm, that's exactly right."
"Then stop complaining."
