The eastern plain of Kona Base.
The Unmanned Legion spread across the gray-white land into the distance, stretching beyond sight.
Tracked combat platforms stood in orderly formations, their heavy cannon barrels all pointing forward as the targeting lights on the missile launchers lit up one after another.
Hundreds of drone transport containers sat quietly behind the lines like rows of sealed metal coffins.
The walls around the base blocked most of the dust, but fine gravel still swept in on high-altitude storms, striking the armor plates with a continuous patter.
All the equipment was on standby. Only the energy cores and lights blinked steadily, as though the entire plain were holding its breath.
Wearing a close-fitting spacesuit, Lin Mo crouched at the very front of the army's formations, inscribing intricate patterns that eventually connected across an area two hundred meters in radius.
Several Holy Human Race attendants helped him, holding materials for the magic arrays, spatial crystals, and energy crystals.
Kael and the other three Sixth Rank Grand Mages had already finished their own magic arrays and were watching Lin Mo from the side.
Lin Mo finally finished setting everything up. He let out a long breath and rose, leaning on his staff.
"Finally done."
He looked up, only then realizing that Kael and the others had long since stopped.
Kael looked at him approvingly through his transparent visor and smiled.
"It seems you haven't given your lessons back to the wind elements lately, Holy Son."
Lin Mo smiled.
"It's all thanks to your teaching."
"Have you all finished setting up your formations too?"
Kael glanced at the magic circle he had set up.
"Of course."
Lin Mo looked around. Once he confirmed that everything was indeed ready, he raised his hand and opened communications with Kona Base's Command Center.
