Bai Yaoyao smiled. As long as she wasn't afraid of pain.
"Big Meow!"
Bai Yaoyao called Big Meow over from the windowsill, where the cat had been watching the rain. "Sweetie, I have a task for you. I'm sure beautiful, adorable Big Meow wouldn't turn me down."
Big Meow padded over gracefully and gave a lazy, questioning meow.
"Train her for me." Bai Yaoyao pointed at Xia Tian.
Big Meow gave her a disdainful glance, looking distinctly unimpressed. She's way too weak.
Xia Tian found the humanlike expression on Big Meow's face fascinating, then suddenly realized the cat was looking down on her. She hurriedly said, "I'll work hard."
Big Meow couldn't even be bothered to look at her. A weakling is a weakling. Working hard just makes you a hardworking weakling.
Bai Yaoyao told Xia Tian, "Watch closely. I'll demonstrate once."
"Big Meow, try to land a scratch on me. If you manage it, I'll let you sleep on a bed of dried fish tonight."
Big Meow immediately perked up, narrowing those eyes and arching that back, ready to attack at any moment.
Bai Yaoyao locked onto Big Meow with her mental power to demonstrate for Xia Tian. The instant Big Meow pounced, she kicked the cat away. Big Meow let out a shriek and flew straight into the ground, face-first...
Big Meow felt bitter. I never should have dreamed of getting that much dried fish. I knew Bai Yaoyao would use that move, but I really couldn't dodge it! She's too fast!
Doggie watched from the sidelines, so delighted that drool spilled out.
Big Meow's fur bristled the moment the cat landed. I can't beat Bai Yaoyao, but you think I can't beat you?
And so a classic scene unfolded: one fled! The other chased! Not even wings
