Chun Prefecture.
The airport.
Five rough-skinned, dark-complexioned men dragged their suitcases straight out of the airport.
They casually flagged down a taxi.
"Where to, sir?"
"This address, please..."
Speaking broken Dragon Kingdom language, the man handed the driver a slip of paper.
The driver acknowledged him and floored the accelerator.
"Ge Dan, where are we going now?"
The five squeezed into the car and spoke quietly in the Mianbang dialect.
The man leading them glanced at the driver. Only after seeing him fully focused on driving did he say, "Su Han contacted a black market dealer in Chun Prefecture for us. We'll get the explosives first."
"Angtuo is dead. The general wants all of Chun Prefecture buried with him."
Excitement gleamed in Ge Dan's eyes. "The general raised us. It's time to repay him for bringing us up."
"It's our honor to die for the general."
"Victory will be ours."
They encouraged one another in the car.
They were filled with determination and excitement at the prospect of dying.
Half an hour later.
Outside the Slums, the driver brought the car to a stop.
"Five hundred."
The driver held out his hand brazenly.
The five Mianbang men froze.
Five hundred could buy several fucking wives in Mianbang.
"You dare extort us?"
One of the Mianbang suicide operatives grabbed the driver by the neck and roared.
"What are you talking about? I treat all my customers equally. It's not like I only extort you. I extort everyone. Pay up."
"You're asking to die..."
The operative reached behind his back.
Ge Dan caught his companion's hand, pulled a crumpled hundred-unit note from his pocket, and tossed it to the driver. Ignoring the man's yelling, he got straight out.
"Ge Dan, why didn't we kill him?"
The operative glared viciously at the driver.
