Background / History

Xiao Fei led the Black Mud Mountain crew outside Ice Prefecture. Earthworm introduced him as his cousin and claimed that he had recently robbed eight truckloads of supplies from the Ice Prefecture Police Bureau. Black Mud Mountain stood beside the main route out of the city 22.

Three years before joining Little White Tiger’s fight, Xiao Fei accepted five bucks from a girl mutilated by a Nalan Family young master. She had only one kidney, one arm, and one leg remaining and was coughing up blood when she paid him. When more than a hundred Nalan Family members came out of the city to capture her, Xiao Fei killed them. Mr. Li also attributed the deaths of two district police commissioners outside the city to him 32.

The agreement between the city’s leaders and the powerful figures outside it restricted incursions into one another’s territory, offering Xiao Fei some protection from Nalan. Entering Ice Prefecture to work for Little White Tiger exposed him to retaliation 32. He had previously received an invitation from Overlord but had not accepted it 46.

Appearance

Personality

Xiao Fei is profane, confrontational, and openly contemptuous of authority. He threatens to kill Mr. Li if his employers order it and challenges Zhang Yang despite recognizing the commissioner’s fourth awakening 32 33. His composure extends to apparently hopeless situations: he calmly smokes while facing hundreds of enemies and three fifth-awakening opponents 43.

His violence coexists with a firm moral distinction between survival-driven crime and cruelty. He argues that robbery does not mean abandoning humanity, and his massacre of the Nalan Family began as revenge for a tortured girl. After witnessing Zhang Yang’s integrity, he says that he would immediately go straight if everyone were like the commissioner 32 34.

Loyalty governs both his personal debts and his work. He joins Little White Tiger because Earthworm was saved, refuses to let his employers die alongside him, and entrusts his family to the survivors. Even in his final message, he prioritizes their safety over immediate revenge 32 42 45.
