Kou Ying pointed at himself, looking utterly bewildered.
"Are you sure you want me to do it?"
"Absolutely. Your bad luck will only make the footage more terrifying, which is exactly what we need."
Wei Changming nodded in satisfaction, then pressed his palms together and raised them above his head.
"Please, buddy. No one but you can shoulder this great responsibility. We really wouldn't feel comfortable leaving it to any of these people around us!"
There was another reason, too. Kou Ying was a technical expert. If anything happened to the Terminal along the way, or its signal was disrupted, he could quickly fix it on the spot.
He was practically a born war correspondent.
It would be a waste not to put talent like that to use.
Kou Ying voiced his concern. "But we're about to go undercover. Won't staying connected be a problem?"
"Don't worry too much about that. We won't interfere with your operations. Just send us footage from over there whenever you have time, and we'll decide whether to release it based on the situation."
Kou Ying could only reluctantly accept the assignment.
After a brief exchange of pleasantries, the two teams wrapped up their call.
Wei Changming and the others reminded them, "Stay safe. We don't want to find that more of you have become souls the next time we see you."
Even less did they want there to be no next meeting.
Ye Buyu gave them a thumbs-up. "Relax. When danger strikes, we run faster than anyone."
Everyone turned in unison, their gazes landing on that transparent soul.
You seem the least qualified to say that.
Even Wan Lan and the others stared at Ye Buyu with half-lidded eyes.
No amount of grinning could hide the fact that she was the only ghost on
