Chapters 601–625 Vol. 7 Read

Ch. 601Let's hold off for now

After capturing [Devouring Corpse] and discussing the danger posed by [War], Ye Buyu and the others agreed to postpone visiting the Salvation Hall of Fame for a month while they prepared. Judgment established a local branch and entrusted Kou Ying with its command token, while the remaining Calamities stayed behind to coordinate.

  • Ye Buyu rejected [War]'s idea of rewriting the Universe's order as too unrealistic for their current goals.
  • Su Wuwei and Lou Guanshan subdued [Devouring Corpse] and proposed using him as an experimental subject to find a way to kill a Calamity with Divine Status.
  • Ku Rong and Note explained that [War] had been released because the growing aura of Gestation threatened to cause a Doomsday crisis where the Chief guarded it.
  • Wu Yan and Ye Buyu agreed to wait a month before visiting the Salvation Hall of Fame, using the time to rest, grow stronger, and handle Floating City matters.
  • The Four Seats of Judgment established a local Second Department, appointed Wugui and Wen Ling to oversee it, and gave Kou Ying a Special Executive Officer's command token.
  • The Salvation Hall of Fame took [War] away, while Little Whale stayed with Ye Buyu and the remaining Calamities prepared to cooperate.

Ch. 602The Floating City's invitation letter

After the Six left to rest and study their new powers, the others prepared to launch the Floating City plan. The city soon appeared at the End of the World, and its return as a legend drew the Calamities’ attention, ending with a tavern proprietor producing an invitation letter to the Floating City.

  • Ye Buyu left guarding the place to Horizon, and the Six departed to rest and organize what they had learned.
  • Gong Jieyong and the others agreed to proceed with the Floating City plan while keeping watch for the Calamities.
  • A few days later, the Floating City rose at the outskirts of the End of the World, stirring interest across the Star Systems.
  • At a tavern, a proprietor shared rumors about surviving civilizations and the upheaval on the Thousand-Wind Ancient Road.
  • The proprietor revealed the legend of the Peak Epoch’s Floating City and produced an invitation letter.

Ch. 603Hold Up the Heavens in Discussion

Floating City's invitation letters stirred old memories and suspicion among the Calamities, while the returned Six rested before gathering at the Underground Training Ground to discuss their abilities. Ye Buyu joined them and offered divine statuses as they began considering how to develop their powers further.

  • A tavern keeper revealed a Floating City invitation letter whose melody and anti-counterfeit mark appeared authentic, and a Calamity secretly took it.
  • Floating City's first batch of invitation letters spread through many places and stirred hidden undercurrents.
  • After returning from their travels, the Six rested, and Ye Buyu woke late before seeking Wan Lan's help.
  • Su Wuwei told Ye Buyu that Wan Lan, Mu Bingge, and Lou Guanshan were at the Underground Training Ground, then teased and raced her there.
  • Wan Lan and Mu Bingge discussed how their abilities might develop from their own powers and desires, while Lou Guanshan wondered if he might become the Overlord of the Universe.
  • Ye Buyu arrived and joined the discussion, agreeing to examine their abilities and setting out pieces of divine status for everyone to snack on.

Ch. 604New Abilities in Development

Su Wuwei demonstrated two new abilities: awakening traces of will in objects and reproducing memories attached to them. Ye Buyu then revealed a new ability by making Wan Lan’s arrows veer away from her, leaving its nature unexplained.

  • Ye Buyu asked the group about their newly comprehended abilities, and Su Wuwei described his mysterious power as something vast and difficult to define.
  • Su Wuwei used the Spirit-Awakening Technique to awaken the maker’s lingering will in a screw, making it move and repeat the words “A little sturdier.”
  • Su Wuwei used a red flame to reproduce an image of a worker who had handled the screw and named the ability Old Affairs in the Embers.
  • Ye Buyu said the abilities pointed toward a broader direction and asked Wan Lan to attack her.
  • Wan Lan sent five arrows at Ye Buyu, but they veered away before hitting her even though Ye Buyu had not used Compulsory Cost.

Ch. 605A Bunch of Cheat Abilities

Ye Buyu, Kou Ying, and Wan Lan demonstrated the new abilities they had gained and tested how they interacted. Wan Lan’s powers could resist interference and alter the surroundings, leaving the team astonished by how powerful they were.

  • Ye Buyu explained how she amplified the possibility of attacks missing her, while Su Wuwei suggested adding small causes to redirect enemy attacks.
  • Kou Ying returned from the research institute and revealed Shadow Crossing and Scarecrow, abilities that could hasten death and transfer fatal injuries through shadows.
  • Wan Lan imagined combining their abilities into a nearly unstoppable defense, and Kou Ying noted that their enemies, such as [Sinful Karma], were powerful as well.
  • Wan Lan shot arrows at Ye Buyu and Kou Ying, whose abilities could not interfere with them, then explained that True Seal of the Self rejected outside interference.
  • Wan Lan demonstrated My Words Become Truth by declaring that there was no dust nearby, causing dust within several hundred meters to rise into the air.

Ch. 606Another expert?

Wan Lan and Lou Guanshan demonstrated their newly developed abilities while the group speculated about time, causality, and whether they could become Gods. Lou Guanshan revealed that his power controlled life and began testing an ability he called the Berserk Bloodsucking Art.

  • Wan Lan explained that her ability followed an unknown but unique concept, then invited Lou Guanshan and Mu Bingge to demonstrate theirs.
  • Lou Guanshan said his developing ability was related to life, prompting Ye Buyu, Su Wuwei, Kou Ying, Wan Lan, and Mu Bingge to debate whether they had left the Key to the Life Divine Miracle in the past.
  • Lou Guanshan suggested they might become Gods and enthusiastically proposed holding the world hostage, while the others dismissed his confidence.
  • Lou Guanshan used his power to make a plant grow rapidly, age, and shrink back into a seed, and Ye Buyu and Mu Bingge named the ability the Life-Control Art.
  • Lou Guanshan activated matching discs beneath himself and Ye Buyu to demonstrate his Berserk Bloodsucking Art, then asked Su Wuwei to hit him.

Ch. 607A Bunch of Bugs Could...

Hold Up the Heavens tested their newly developed abilities and found that their powers made sparring nearly impossible. Ye Buyu proposed a trial beyond the training ground, suggesting they investigate the Universe Scavengers, while ruling out several more dangerous destinations.

  • Kou Ying pierced Lou Guanshan with Shadow Spikes, and Lou Guanshan quickly healed by siphoning Ye Buyu's life force; Mu Bingge called his ability Vampirism.
  • Mu Bingge revealed that her abilities were Future Preemption and Time Stop, though her control over time remained limited.
  • Over three days, Hold Up the Heavens practiced together and concluded that each member's abilities were difficult to counter.
  • Ye Buyu's defenses and interruptions frustrated the others during sparring, so she proposed putting their abilities to use outside the training ground.
  • Ye Buyu ruled out several dangerous locations and suggested that Hold Up the Heavens investigate the Universe Scavengers.

Ch. 608Scavenger Outpost

Ye Buyu and the others reached Star-Ruin District Twenty-Eight, where they arranged entry to the Scavenger Arena to grow stronger and earn money. Su Wuwei bought seemingly worthless goods from the scavengers, and the group left with a shopkeeper who agreed to act as their referee.

  • Xiehu warned the six newcomers not to trust anyone or show their money, then departed with his caravan.
  • The group explored the outpost, where scavengers advertised dubious goods and Wan Lan doubted their claims about a stone fragment of [Whale of Wailing].
  • Su Wuwei bought the stone and several other junk items, despite the shopkeeper's reluctance and the scavengers' mockery.
  • Wan Lan told a shopkeeper that the group wanted to enter the Scavenger Arena to earn money and avoid being forced into it by creditors.
  • The shopkeeper accepted Wan Lan's remaining Thousand-Wind Coins and led the six toward the arena, advising them to conceal their identities with masks.

Ch. 609Watch Your Butt

The Hold Up the Heavens members entered the Star-Ruin District Twenty-Eight Arena after Old Sheephead sensed their heavy karma. Ye Buyu was assigned a match against a burly Calamity, and her first attack sent his own knife flying toward him.

  • Old Sheephead warned the six about the Arena, then gave them masks and let them enter after sensing their level and karma.
  • Su Wuwei used Old Affairs in the Embers to reveal a damaged mirage, and Mu Bingge offered to trace its timeline.
  • The Arena assigned Ye Buyu a match, and she appeared on a stretch of star ruins beside the Scavenger stronghold.
  • A burly Calamity mocked Ye Buyu and attacked her with a butcher's knife.
  • Ye Buyu used pebbles and a punch to knock the knife away, and the falling Calamity landed on its upturned blade.

Ch. 610Bring on someone stronger

Ye Buyu and her companions defeated their level twelve opponents in the arena, then demanded stronger challenges. The manager arranged level thirteen opponents, and all six members of Hold Up the Heavens volunteered to fight first.

  • Ye Buyu stood unharmed as the burly man repeatedly injured himself, while Wan Lan, Su Wuwei, Mu Bingge, Kou Ying, and Lou Guanshan each defeated their opponents with their unusual abilities.
  • Scavengers questioned the arena's matchups, and the manager promised to find suitable opponents after the group returned to the waiting area.
  • Wan Lan challenged the arena to send level thirteen calamities, dispelling the manager's oppressive aura and daring the manager to fight her.
  • The manager found three level thirteen opponents and asked who would go first, but all six members of Hold Up the Heavens volunteered at once.

Ch. 611A Thrill Seeker's Tricks

Ye Buyu sent Wan Lan, Lou Guanshan, and Kou Ying to fight three Level Thirteen Calamities while Su Wuwei stayed behind and used his ability to make objects speak with the voices of the dead. His sparks plunged the waiting area into chaos, and the manager was left shaken by the ring’s words.

  • Su Wuwei and Mu Bingge opted out of the fights, so Ye Buyu assigned Wan Lan, Lou Guanshan, and Kou Ying to face three Level Thirteen Calamities.
  • The arena manager warned that the battles allowed no distinction between life and death, and Kou Ying’s opponent declared that he would kill 0976.
  • The arena began showing the three fights, while the manager announced that viewing was free and Calamities in the waiting area jeered at Su Wuwei.
  • Su Wuwei released sparks that made the Calamities’ belongings speak as the people they had once belonged to, then attack or confront their owners.
  • The ring in the manager’s hand spoke of its former owner’s hopes, leaving him shaken as chaos engulfed the waiting area.

Ch. 612Beyond Reason

Su Wuwei revealed that he could make thoughts attached to objects manifest as voices, stirring humanity among the Scavengers, while Ye Buyu discussed recruiting Ideological Workers. As the three watched their companions battle Level Thirteen Calamities, Lou Guanshan deliberately took a near-fatal wound and killed his rock-armored opponent with a counterattack.

  • Su Wuwei told the manager that he had made the voices manifest through his ability, and the Calamities in the waiting area reacted emotionally to what they heard.
  • Ye Buyu suggested that the Primordial Beginning Tower, [Stagnation], and others provide Ideological Workers to influence the Scavengers and Disasters.
  • The manager explained that the three opponents followed the paths of [Revenge], frost, and rock and earth, and warned that Lou Guanshan faced a rival who could advance by killing him.
  • Ye Buyu asserted that Lou Guanshan would win because no one understood the earth better than he did.
  • Lou Guanshan allowed the rock-armored Calamity to stab him near the heart, then used rising ground spikes to pierce his opponent's heart and kill him.

Ch. 613We happened to know a little about fighting

Wan Lan defeated the Level Thirteen Calamity but refused to kill or enslave her, calling the fight a draw and demanding only her money. When the Arena rejected the result and threatened to intervene, Ye Buyu, Su Wuwei, and Mu Bingge prepared to defend their teammate by force.

  • Wan Lan pierced the frost-wielding Calamity with an arrow, then used True Seal of the Self to stop her from detonating her body and taking Wan Lan with her.
  • Wan Lan declared the fight a draw, spared the Calamity, and said she wanted her money rather than her life.
  • The Calamities in the Arena protested the draw, and the person in charge demanded that one fighter surrender or die.
  • Ye Buyu and Su Wuwei warned the Arena against harming their friend, while Mu Bingge argued that the rules should allow leniency.
  • Ye Buyu pointed her Double-Edged Spear at the person in charge, and Mu Bingge drew her Long Whip as the Arena crowd prepared to fight.

Ch. 614Who Did You Say?

Ye Buyu and her friends defeated the Scavenger Arena’s Calamities after they refused to agree to a draw, then learned that the Arena had the backing of the level fourteen [Delusion]. They decided to retrieve Wan Lan first and headed for the third floor, where the Arena’s teleportation controls were located.

  • Su Wuwei told the Arena’s leader that Kou Ying had won her fight, and Ye Buyu again asked for a draw, but the leader declared the group wanted by the Scavenger Arena.
  • Ye Buyu struck the ground with her Spear, forcing the attacking Calamities, including the Arena’s leader, to their knees and draining their Calamity Power.
  • Lou Guanshan and Kou Ying joined the group, and the leader warned that he had summoned level thirteen Calamities from other Arenas.
  • The Arena’s Calamities revealed that a level fourteen Calamity called [Delusion] backed the Arena, prompting Ye Buyu and her friends to recognize it as the enemy that had nearly torn apart their home.
  • Mu Bingge urged the group to retrieve Wan Lan before deciding whether to fight [Delusion], and the leader directed them to the third floor’s teleportation controls.
  • Ye Buyu’s group headed for the third floor, and she insisted they were not leaving without winning.

Ch. 615Settling Old Scores and New

Ye Buyu and her companions returned to Star-Ruin District Twenty-Eight and learned that the [Delusion] they had encountered was only a double, prompting Ye Buyu to consider recruiting it. The Arena’s chief administrator sent [Delusion] to attack the district, and Wan Lan and the others moved to confront the assault.

  • Ye Buyu’s group brought Wan Lan back and learned from Little Whale that [Delusion]’s true body and Divine Status remained under the Chief’s watch.
  • Ye Buyu considered recruiting [Delusion] for its powers, but Little Whale warned that it would likely hate the Hall Master of the Salvation Hall of Fame.
  • The Arena’s chief administrator sent [Delusion] to Star-Ruin District Twenty-Eight, hoping to use the attack to advance his own influence.
  • [Delusion] opened gates that unleashed powerful attackers, prompting Calamities throughout the outpost to flee as the attacks threatened to destroy much of the district.
  • Wan Lan killed a Calamity that blamed her group for the crisis, then joined Su Wuwei and Mu Bingge in resisting the incoming assault.

Ch. 616You're actually human

The Six Hold Up the Heavens revealed themselves as humans and faced the Level Thirteen Calamities in the Arena. After Little Whale swallowed [Delusion], Ye Buyu and her team began fighting the remaining Calamities, who joined forces against them.

  • The red tsunami and the incoming attack collided, revealing six humans standing among the Arena’s ruins.
  • Ye Buyu urged her team to use the battle as a chance to reach the Ninth Rank, while Kou Ying told her to focus on fighting first.
  • The Calamities cursed the humans for disguising themselves and defeating them, and Ye Buyu, Wan Lan, and Su Wuwei taunted them in return.
  • Ye Buyu hurled Little Whale at [Delusion], and Little Whale grew large and swallowed [Delusion].
  • The remaining Calamities attacked the team, but the humans countered with spears, arrows, shadows, and fire, prompting the Calamities to coordinate their assault.
  • Ye Buyu activated her insulation shield, dodged two Calamities, and fired a Gatling Gun at them.

Ch. 617A fight to the death

Kou Ying fought two level thirteen calamities and killed them with his damage-transfer ability before a hail of bullets finished them off. Elsewhere, Su Wuwei and Mu Bingge continued battling calamities as the same barrage swept over the battlefield, and Mu Bingge launched a decisive attack.

  • Kou Ying used shadows and damage transfer to wound two calamities, then killed them with a final strike despite being gravely injured.
  • A hail of bullets swept over Kou Ying and the two calamities, killing them as Kou Ying closed his eyes in relief.
  • Su Wuwei faced a wounded calamity while bullets rained down, then changed form and unleashed a colossal flaming saber.
  • Mu Bingge wore down two calamities with her water-mirror formation and borrowed strength from her future self.
  • Mu Bingge appeared before the two calamities and sent a thousand spiraling blades into a single point.

Ch. 618I Really Was Afraid You Wouldn't Run

Mu Bingge and Lou Guanshan recovered after defeating their Calamity opponents while Wan Lan fought five Level Thirteen Calamities. Wan Lan forced the four remaining enemies to flee, then pursued one as a silver rain of bullets arrived from Ye Buyu's direction.

  • Two Calamities detonated their power against Mu Bingge, who survived the blast and began recovering under the healing rain of bullets.
  • Lou Guanshan defeated two Calamities, then collapsed to recover as the bullets restored some of his strength.
  • Wan Lan fought five Calamities, exploiting their poor teamwork and using her abilities to worsen their hidden injuries.
  • Wan Lan killed one Calamity and taunted the other four into fleeing, then chased the slowest one to continue the hunt.
  • A silver rain of bullets arrived near Wan Lan, who welcomed it as she pursued her quarry.

Ch. 619Now I'm feeling it

Ye Buyu and her teammates defeated their attackers, but the Calamities at the Scavengers Outpost gathered to confront them. As the group prepared to break through, [Delusion] recognized the Salvation Hall of Fame and accused them of repeatedly ruining its plans.

  • Ye Buyu killed the two Level Thirteen Calamities after her Spear overwhelmed them with uncontrolled power.
  • Little Whale vomited up the Calamities inside it, and Suiyang refused to swallow them.
  • The Head Person in Charge of the Scavenger Arena and powerful Calamities from the Scavengers Outpost emerged through portals.
  • Ye Buyu threw Kou Ying toward Little Whale to find safety, while Mu Bingge, Su Wuwei, and Lou Guanshan prepared to break through.
  • [Delusion] accused the Salvation Hall of Fame of sabotaging its plans at the End of the World and pursuing it to the Scavengers Outpost.

Ch. 620Then go wipe out the Calamities' headquarters

Ye Buyu reunited with Cangyuan and faced the revelation that she was the Hall Master of the Salvation Hall of Fame, while Calamities learned that she and her companions were End of the World Navigators. When Wei Changming ordered her to wipe out the Calamities' headquarters, Ye Buyu immediately agreed.

  • Ye Buyu paid Suiyang with damaged Divine Statuses to swallow the source of the crazed shouting, and learned that Suiyang had reached Level Thirteen.
  • Ji Wangsheng approached Ye Buyu, but Cangyuan arrived and struck her with Space-Splitting Slash.
  • Ji Wangsheng revealed that Black Plague suspected the Salvation Hall of Fame was connected to the End of the World, and the Arena learned that Ye Buyu and her companions were its Navigators.
  • Ye Buyu greeted Cangyuan as the Salvation Hall of Fame's Hall Master, and he returned the greeting as the surrounding Calamities reacted in shock.
  • Qian Tu invited Ye Buyu to the Dark Abyss Calamity Dynasty, while Ji Wangsheng invited her to Black Plague, but Ye Buyu refused both invitations.
  • Wei Changming told Ye Buyu to wipe out the Calamities' headquarters, and she agreed at once.

Ch. 621Weren't You Here to Recruit Them?

Ye Buyu and her companions fought the Scavenger Calamities, who mistook their arrival for an attempt to seize the Scavengers Outpost. After learning the outpost’s connection to the Primordial Beginning Tower, Ye Buyu called for the Calamities to choose their own future as a screen appeared above them.

  • Old Sheephead accused Wei Changming of sending them against unusually dangerous opponents, while Ye Buyu lamented being dragged into the fight.
  • Wan Lan returned after fighting two Calamities and told Ye Buyu that their teammates had gone to break through.
  • Wu Dan arrived and asked Ye Buyu to spare the Scavengers Outpost, revealing that the Primordial Beginning Tower had founded it.
  • Ji Wangsheng argued that the Scavengers had long been independent and should be free to choose which faction to join.
  • Ye Buyu declared that the Calamities should decide their own futures, then addressed them as a screen appeared above the crowd.

Ch. 622Come to Floating City, the Land of Dreams

Ye Buyu offered the Scavengers Outpost Calamities a place in Floating City rather than urging them to join the Dark Abyss Calamity Dynasty or Black Plague. Her pitch sparked interest in Floating City and ended with Wu Dan agreeing to join its partners.

  • Ye Buyu introduced herself as a Navigator of the End of the World and Hall Master of the Salvation Hall of Fame, then let Qian Tu and Ji Wangsheng present their factions.
  • Qian Tu invited Calamities to join the expanding Dark Abyss Calamity Dynasty, while Ji Wangsheng sought recruits for Black Plague.
  • Wu Dan warned Ye Buyu and Wan Lan that the Scavengers Outpost's vulnerable residents would be left without protection if most Calamities departed.
  • Ye Buyu promoted Floating City as a place where the Scavengers could become valuable resource suppliers and potential partners alongside several major factions.
  • Ye Buyu displayed a Divine Status, claiming it could help condense a true Divine Status, and attracted the Calamities' attention.
  • After Qian Tu and Ji Wangsheng challenged Ye Buyu, Wu Dan noted the Primordial Beginning Tower had not joined Floating City, and Ye Buyu invited her to do so; Wu Dan accepted.

Ch. 623Ye Buyu stepped up

Ye Buyu tried to establish Floating City as a trading haven by recruiting factions and offering Calamities a choice, but Qian Tu and Ji Wangsheng threatened to undermine the plan. She confronted them with the Salvation Hall of Fame’s backing and invited them to Floating City, while a new voice questioned whether she could handle them alone.

  • Ye Buyu created a Floating City group chat, announced that the Scavengers faction had joined her side, and told the others to handle negotiations with resource suppliers and Calamities.
  • Ye Buyu explained to Qian Tu how Floating City could connect factions, provide security, and help create a broader balance between civilizations.
  • Qian Tu and Ji Wangsheng said the outposts would end and that Calamities could choose to join them, warning that those who had not reached Floating City might lack its protection.
  • Ye Buyu said she would bring forward plans for teleportation arrays and challenged Qian Tu and Ji Wangsheng by threatening to use Thousand Winds Banishment.
  • Ye Buyu invited Qian Tu and Ji Wangsheng to visit Floating City, then stopped Cangyuan from attacking the Black Plague.
  • An unidentified voice asked Ji Wangsheng whether Ye Buyu alone would be enough.

Ch. 624Settling It with One Hammer Blow

Ye Buyu took Ji Wangsheng and Qian Tu to Floating City, then the Scavengers Outpost’s Calamities weighed their options and many chose to follow. Floating City began inviting Scavengers and building teleportation arrays, while a squad from Judgment, Primordial Beginning Tower, and End of the World arrived at the outpost.

  • Ye Buyu pressured Ji Wangsheng and Qian Tu into coming to Floating City, and she took Elder Wu Dan along as well.
  • Xiehu decided to lead his caravan to Floating City, and the Arena’s Calamities concluded that the outpost was no longer safe and chose to go too.
  • Floating City sent Invitation Letters offering guests a free teleportation-array use and announced plans to build arrays at major outposts.
  • Calamities mocked Floating City’s plans until they spotted members of Judgment and Primordial Beginning Tower arriving with humans.
  • The arriving squad discussed how the Arena’s Calamity Tide had nearly destroyed the Scavengers Outpost, and the three newcomers praised Hold Up the Heavens.

Ch. 625Honored guests, please enter

The End of the World team built a teleportation passage in Scavengers Outpost’s busiest area and used force to stop Calamities from ambushing visitors. Their offer of friendship left the humans and Calamities wondering how their Navigator had managed to get along with them so well.

  • The End of the World team chose the busiest part of Scavengers Outpost for the teleportation device, hoping to lure troublemakers into a trap, and the Judgment Executor agreed to help.
  • Calamities plotting to rob the team decided to attack the passage, but several genuine Invitation Letter holders entered Floating City first.
  • A group of Calamities tried to ambush the visitors, but three people from the End of the World swiftly beat them and kicked them through the passage.
  • The three warned the watching Calamities not to cause trouble and agreed to befriend those who approached them as welcome guests.
  • When the End of the World team asked why their Navigator got along with Calamities, the humans and Calamities were left baffled.
