• Chen Luo returned to Mi Ling's Base with Mi Li, learned that Mi Ling had collected three crystals, and invited her to come home for his birthday.

Qi Yu infiltrated Dawn City intending to kill Chen Luo, but Mi Li identified his malicious intent and had him arrested. Sea Ji tested her new ability on him, leaving him powerless and in agony.

• Mi Li explained Qi Yu’s suspicious intent to Chen Guang, who ordered four Level Seven Elite Members to seize him.
• The Elite Members took Qi Yu to a dark cell and demanded to know why he had come to Dawn City.
• Sea Ji entered the cell and dismissed the guards so she could test her new ability on Qi Yu.

Sea Ji tested her new torture ability on Qi Yu, who later escaped from Dawn City, while Chen Luo learned of his disappearance. The next day, Big Strong confronted a red-clad zombie queen who ensnared him with thorny vines and demanded that he kneel and call her Queen.

After both exhausted themselves, she revealed her Life Seed and introduced herself as Thorn, leaving Big Strong to consider recruiting her instead of killing her.

• The Red-Clothed Zombie bound Big Strong with thorn vines and lashed him while demanding that he kneel and call her Queen.
• Big Strong absorbed the crystal in his pocket despite the pain and broke through to level nine, then tore free of the vines.
• The Red-Clothed Zombie filled the area with thorn plants, hid among them, and attacked Big Strong as he grew into a giant and searched for her.

Chen Luo confronted Big Strong and Thorn, overpowering the Thorn Queen but sparing her at Big Strong’s request. After Chen Luo left, Thorn became devoted to Big Strong, who was left baffled by her sudden change.

• Chen Luo tracked down Big Strong and Thorn, demanding the Nature-type crystal and challenging them over their encounter with his people.
• Thorn ordered her zombies to attack Chen Luo, but he caught her by the throat and easily stopped her.
• Zhao Ziyi relayed Big Strong’s request that Chen Luo spare Thorn, and Chen Luo recognized her as the Thorn Queen.

Chen Luo rushed to help Dharma King confront White Gull, a Psychic King Rank who resisted Chen Luo’s attempt to age him to death. Chen Luo fled with Dharma King, while Rice glimpsed a future in which Ningshuang died and returned to life.

• Zhao Ziyi relayed Dharma King's report of a flying zombie, and Chen Luo hurried to his location after Rice said there was no danger.
• Chen Luo found Dharma King watching White Gull, who used hypnosis to make Dharma King reveal they wanted his crystal.

After White Gull resisted Chen Luo's Time Acceleration, Chen Luo fled and gathered Ningshuang, Jiang Chuxue, and Sea Ji to attack it together. They found that White Gull had massacred most of a nearby base before flying west toward the sea, and Chen Luo set out to track it down.

• Chen Luo and Dharma King escaped from White Gull, and Chen Luo decided to return with Sea Ji and Ningshuang to fight it together.
• Chen Luo found Ningshuang crying with Mi Li, then recruited her and Jiang Chuxue; Sea Ji carried Jiang Chuxue as they hurried toward White Gull's last location.
• While Chen Luo was gone, White Gull slaughtered more than five hundred people at a base and then flew west toward the sea.

• Chen Luo trapped Qi Yu, crushed his legs, and threatened him with Elder Dung until Qi Yu confessed that Wu Hui and Ye Yu had hired him to kill Chen Luo.
• Chen Luo killed Qi Yu and rode Golden Eagle to confront Wu Hui, who admitted his involvement and said Ye Yu had offered twenty pounds of sausage.
• As Chen Luo questioned Wu Hui, a captured zombie mutated, broke free, and grew to over forty meters tall.

• A giant level-ten zombie attacked Chen Luo and Wu Hui, but Chen Luo knocked it down and killed it with repeated punches.
• Chen Luo killed Wu Hui, then heard from Yuri that Ye Yu planned to poison him.
• Two days earlier, Ye Yu found a deadly purple flower and tested its pollen on a level-seven esper, killing him instantly.

Ye Yu’s attempt to poison Chen Luo was exposed by Wan Jiangui, who admitted he had been secretly informing Chen Luo about Ye Yu. The betrayal pushed Ye Yu into awakening his second ability, fire, and he claimed to have reached level eleven as he threatened Chen Luo and Wan Jiangui.

• Ye Yu and Wan Jiangui kowtowed to Chen Luo before Ye Yu served him a meal laced with poison.
• Wan Jiangui warned Chen Luo that the sausage was poisoned and accused Ye Yu of testing the flower on an innocent level-seven survivor.
• Chen Luo revealed that Wan Jiangui had told him about Ye Yu’s level-ten light crystal and the King-Rank Crystal.
• Ye Yu spat dark blood, realized Wan Jiangui had betrayed him, and awakened his fire ability.

• Chen Luo revealed that he had dual esper abilities and a level advantage, then dragged Ye Yu to a zombie-filled area to see if Ye Yu would summon a miracle under threat of death.
• Chen Luo beat Ye Yu and prepared to kill him with a Void Sword, but a King Rank female zombie appeared and struck Ye Yu with a powerful buff.

Chen Luo and Mi Ling confronted the possibility that Dawn City’s survivors might attack them over scarce food, while Chen Luo resolved to protect the city’s resources. Bai Hao arrived at Dawn City with a new ally and recognized Sea Ji and Ningshuang, realizing Chen Luo was there too.

• Mi Ling worried that desperate survivors might unite against Dawn City, and Chen Luo concluded he might have to kill them to protect the city’s elite.
• A King Rank killer whale vowed to avenge his younger brother, whom Chen Luo had killed, and Bai Hao recruited him as his Left Protector.

Bai Hao learned that Chen Luo had built Dawn City and decided to gather his forces to wipe out Chen Luo’s followers. Rice warned Chen Luo that a powerful group from the ocean would attack in two days, leaving Chen Luo to prepare to defend Dawn City and consider using his spacetime esper ability.

• Bai Hao overheard Dawn City members praising Chen Luo and decided to kill his followers to force Chen Luo into a fight.
• Bai Hao returned to the ocean to gather his underlings and Killer Whale for an attack.

As Bai Hao confronted Chen Luo, Chen Luo activated his spacetime esper ability and discovered that it let him borrow power from his future self, who had reached Emperor Rank.
