Back at the base, Chen Luo learned what had happened and recognized Su Dazhu’s new power; the next morning, Ma Yu unusually did not get up to make breakfast.

• Ma Yu rushed to help Su Dazhu, whose injuries healed as energy from his brain crystal restored his vitality.
• Su Dazhu repeatedly recovered from the zombie’s attacks while clinging to its weak spot, and the returning survivors joined the fight.
• Ningshuang arrived, but the zombie clutched its head and died before she needed to act.

• A week after his children were born, the Dharma King left the base to seek more energy and killed six hungry survivors who cursed Chen Luo and tried to eat him.
• After three days of hearing survivors blame Chen Luo, the Dharma King recalled Chen Luo’s helplessness and began to understand that his master had reasons he could not explain.
• Li Huo attacked Fang Feichen’s base of over ten thousand survivors, destroying hundreds with massive fireballs.
• Fang Feichen ordered the survivors to run, but panic caused a stampede, and a fireball killed A Kui as he tried to maintain order.

Dharma King challenged Li Huo to protect the survivors and tried to wear down the King Rank zombie by dodging his attacks. Li Huo turned to Fang Feichen as a hostage, and Fang Feichen died refusing to reveal Dawn City's local branch base.

• Dharma King confronted Li Huo and evaded his Meteor Fire Rain to drain his esper energy.
• Li Huo trapped Dharma King in a Fire Dragon Formation and struck him with a flame eruption, but Dharma King escaped and resumed dodging.
• Li Huo realized Dharma King was trying to exhaust him and seized Fang Feichen to force him to reveal Dawn City's local branch base.
• Fang Feichen refused to cooperate, so Li Huo detonated the flame energy inside him and killed him.

The Dharma King fought Li Huo to a standstill, then revealed that his tail could attack as a third hand and used it to defeat him. Li Huo died, while Wild Thunder kept other survivors from interfering as the exhausted Dharma King stood victorious.

• The Dharma King and Li Huo traded killing moves until both were nearly out of ability energy, then continued fighting hand to hand.
• Wild Thunder arrived, saw the fight, and contacted Yuri; Chen Luo ran toward the battle after hearing what was happening.

Back at the base, Chen Luo rewarded Dharma King with Li Huo’s fire crystal and ended the chapter by taking a robe meant for Ningshuang and putting it in Rice’s room.

• Wild Thunder arrived with Dawn City’s teams, and Dharma King drove off the survivors who had gathered around him after he killed Li Huo.
• Dharma King stopped survivors from attacking Fang Feichen’s two friends, Lü Chen and Zhang Yang, and told Chen Luo that Fang Feichen had died protecting Dawn City.
• Chen Luo offered Lü Chen and Zhang Yang places in Dawn City, arranged Fang Feichen’s burial, and gave them Fang Feichen’s crystal at their request.

Long Yu revealed that he had identified the eight elemental metals in the Divine Armor but had failed to reproduce the lightning-type metal.

• He Yi and five companions delivered an indestructible corpse to Dawn City, and Chen Guang welcomed all six into the city.
• Rice predicted that something good would happen, and Chen Luo soon learned that another indestructible corpse had arrived.

Chen Luo gathered the sea creatures, asserted his authority as Sea King, and had Er Gou killed for offending him. As Zhao Ziyi began linking with the gathered creatures, another Mermaid appeared and mocked Chen Luo.
