Professor Ji was as busy as ever.
When he saw that they had returned safely, he simply shooed them off for their checkups. This time, he told Xu Duoduo to get one too.
He said he was worried that the arrival of total blackout day might have affected their health.
And so the four humans and one zombie obediently lined up for their examinations.
Xu Duoduo followed behind Qin Luo, her claws clutching the hem of his shirt. When she turned her head, she spotted a little fellow watching her and almost failed to recognize him.
Only then did she realize he was the bald little boy. This time, his head was covered in fluffy white hair, though it was a white afro. He was delighted to see Xu Duoduo and recognized her at once. He fidgeted shyly, sneaking one look after another at her, before finally saying bashfully, "You're so pretty, big sister."
Qin Luo immediately turned around. Looking down and finding a little kid, he said, "Of course she's pretty. She's my wife. How could she not be?"
There was even a hint of smugness in his voice.
Xu Duoduo froze at that. When she looked back at the little boy, he was already dumbstruck too. She was just about to call Big Dog childish when the boy asked, "Then can she be my mommy?" Qin Luo instantly bristled and was about to say something, but the child turned to him and added, "And you can be my daddy?"
Qin Luo was stunned speechless.
Xu Duoduo was
