Xu Duoduo rolled over on the bed. She wanted to play on her tablet, but she also wanted to snuggle up to Big Dog.
So she climbed back up.
In her slippers, she wandered off to find Qin Luo and finally found him in the bathroom.
He was scrubbing clothes.
Xu Duoduo walked up behind him. Rather than hugging him, she simply pressed her head against his solid back.
Qin Luo turned his head and noticed her there. Delighted, he deliberately teased her. "What? Weren't you done clinging to me? What are you up to, getting all clingy now?"
Captain Qin was really getting carried away.
Anyone else would probably have traded barbs with him or argued a little.
Shishi was different.
The little zombie's mind worked in straight lines most of the time. She opened her mouth and said, "I want to be close to you."
Xu Duoduo thought for a moment, then added, "No particular reason. I just want to be close to you."
What she meant amounted to, I don't have a reason. Right here, right now, I just want to be with you.
That line packed one hell of a punch.
Even Qin Luo couldn't help blushing. He desperately wanted to put down the clothes and ask her in despair, Am I supposed to finish washing these clothes or not?! Stop teasing me like that!
Because all he wanted now was to take Shishi to bed!!
Qin Luo cleared his throat and put on a serious act, continuing to wash the clothes. "D-d-don't act all cute!"
He had thrown her own words right back at her.
If Xu Duoduo said another couple of devastatingly sweet things, he would take her straight to bed for three days and nights.
