After getting out of the car, Qin Luo lectured Cheng Cheng the whole way. Children might speak without thinking, but even so, he couldn't go around saying things like that.
Cheng Cheng kept nodding, but inwardly, he was convinced that this easily embarrassed big brother liked the pretty big sister.
Adults never said what they really meant.
The Childcare Center was a huge, colorful campus. One look at its bright colors told you it was a place for children.
It looked exactly like an enormous kindergarten.
Two security guards stood at the entrance. These days, security guards weren't old men, but genuine ability users. They really were protecting humanity's future.
Besides the two guards at the entrance, ability users could occasionally be seen patrolling inside the Childcare Center.
The children's shouts on the playground were positively ear-splitting. School had just let out, and a bunch of little kids were playing wildly. They didn't know what an apocalypse was, only that things were a little different from before.
Most of the time, though, life was still the same, except that their moms and dads weren't there.
But they had lots more playmates.
Cheng Cheng was still just a kid, after all, and his eyes lit up at all the playground equipment.
Cheng Ai also gazed longingly inside.
Qin Luo went over to speak to the guards, then registered Cheng Cheng and Cheng Ai. Glancing at the little zombie, he signed her name as well.
Xu Duoduo was looking inside too. Teachers in cute outfits were playing with the children. For the kids, at least, this place was paradise.
"Let's go!"
After finishing the registration, Qin Luo called to the little zombie, and she immediately followed him.
He hadn't expected to run into someone he knew coming the other way.
