Flames pierced through the corridor and balcony, blasting outward with a deafening boom.
The tremendous force sent Xu Ye flying.
Glass shards, concrete rubble, and wood splinters rattled against the Big Black Umbrella amid the shock wave.
The black umbrella's defenses were solid, and it held firm.
What surprised Xu Ye, however, was that the explosion hadn't spread to the other dorm rooms. It was confined to Anderson's room.
Apparently, some ability of Instructor Shen's had contained the explosion within a limited area.
Xu Ye was hurled into the air.
Fortunately, a trait granted by [Mayfly] allowed him to just barely maintain his balance.
"Holy shit, what happened?"
"Our dorm blew up?"
Zhu Dalong and the others had just finished lunch and were heading toward the dorm.
They looked up, saw the dorm explode, and stood frozen for a long moment. Then, following the smoke from the blast, they spotted Xu Ye in midair.
He held the Big Black Umbrella overhead, one hand behind his back, adjusting his body along the shock wave as though he were walking through the air.
"I have no idea what happened, but Brother Ye looks so damn cool." Lu Mingwang smacked his lips, his eyes full of stars.
Zhou Ye nodded in agreement.
Whoosh!
Keeping his back straight, Xu Ye twisted slightly as he neared the ground, shedding some of the force before landing.
He lost his balance.
And dropped to one knee.
Everyone: "..."
Xu Ye: "..."
Alice covered her mouth and snickered.
An awkward silence settled over them.
Zhu Dalong grinned and drawled mockingly, "Brother Ye, you're far too polite. If you admire me, just say so. Declaring your love for me in public like this? You're making me blush. You naughty thing~ I'll be waiting at the hotel tonight."
